In your native navigation? I’ve seen them in the charging app and then it uses that as a destination but doesn’t precondition or know that it’s a charger.
I got this STX loaner while my Lightning was getting fixed and with it 700 miles of range for $50k this is where I think our trucks need to get eventually to capture more of the 700k+ gas F150 sales. My original post on X / Twitter hit 75k+ views, so I went deeper with this video! ?Why do you...
Part 1 of our first long distance family roadtrip is now posted! We take our Lightning from our home in the Bay Area, down I5 to LA and then continue on to Legoland near San Diego. We stop at a couple Tesla Superchargers and pay a visit to ‪Rove to check it out for the first time where we hit a...
I’m probably going to wait until after New Year’s to bring it in. Don’t want to spoil my Christmas cheer with having to drive a gas loaner while it’s at the dealer for the Holidays.
Has anyone else heard and/or know what might cause this 1 second creaking sound right at acceleration? Sorry for the poor video but this is me feathering the accelerator a few times in a row at a crawl speed almost letting it come to a stop. I can hear it in both forward and reverse.
Yeah this charger from ChargePoint that I used is NACS so it worked well with the exception of not giving you the 10 minute initial boost up to 160kw-180kw. You're correct the ones that brach off a CHAdeMO will not work and only Tesla V3+ will. When using navigation V2 and below will be filtered...
The wheels are a thin metal rim protector with a 3m tape that (attempts) to hold it on the rim. I had it custom painted along with my calipers to match the lightning blue. It's hard to recommend them and they look great from 5 ft away but I've had to use different glue and adhesive trying to get...
You have to look at the way they do the NACS section though. EVGo and most others, split off the CHAdeMO side of the charger and that communication protocol won't work with CCS. Only the chargers that have the NACS plug as a stand alone separate cable will work. If it's not the 160kw charger...
Because it's a split charger I was current limited and only pulled 98kw but I expect Superchargers will deliver the full curve once they are open, after a recent OTA update they all just got recently.
Visiting the ChargePoint Corporate offices in CA for some $0.25kWh charging and to test out the NACS to CCS adapter from A2Z. It supports up to 1000v and 500a and is charging the Lightning perfectly. It's a great sign of things to come with the Tesla / Ford partnership and I'm super excited for...
Ok community I need some support on Twitter/ X to get this Lightning ⚡ Easter egg into next years Tesla calendar ? If you look closely the tip of the Tesla "T" logo is in my Lightning ⚡. What a fun Easter Egg to make it into a Tesla calendar! Help vote for #3 please it is barely ahead! Let's...
