  1. Frunk E-bike?

Ha ha, does anyone else remember an invention that was supposed to "redefine personal mobility"?
  2. Instrument Cluster went dark!

I've seen this described once or twice here without any definitive resolution on what the heck happened... Was on a longer drive, topped up at an EA station for my trip home. I was a little sleepy so pulled into a rest area to take a nap. I have no idea if this is important - but I turned the...
  3. Bewildering array of portable chargers / EVSEs from names no one has ever heard of

I wanted to get a portable EVSE I can toss in the frunk, for charging at either a 50, 30 or 20-amp circuit when I am travelling. Obviously I have the Ford Mobile Charger but that will only work if I can find a 50 am outlet - I wanted one I can dial back to 24 amps draw if I can find a 30 amp...
  4. Help - did my battery shrink? Weird range estimation changes

OK, thanks to all for the replies. This is part of the learning process, I guess - Is there a way to get the efficiency displayed on the "quiet screen"? I find it a little odd that I cant get the battery % and the efficiency displayed simultaneously...
  5. Help - did my battery shrink? Weird range estimation changes

Took my first longish road trip (little over 300 miles) with my F150L yesterday / today - I have the ER battery pack... BLUF: For some reason the computer thinks I will only get 210-230 miles out of the battery pack! This morning I started out with a range of 340 and before I drove 100 ft the...
  6. Why would I need a mobile charger?

THAT is an important tidbit I was not aware of - thank you!
  7. Disabling Vehicle Connectivity removes functionality

Unfortunately, there's no money in that option for Ford. There is quite a bit of money in them selling our data.
  8. Electrify America fast charger not connecting [Post 27 resolution]

Resolution: I got my truck back yesterday from the Ford Dealership - yes, they confirmed this is a known issue with the Lightnings - they replaced my charge port actuator, and now I can DC fast charge at my local EA charger without a problem. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions! Rich
  9. DC Charging Fault 151 miles away from home

@bobrosco - your situation sounds a lot like mine ( https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/electrify-america-fast-charger-not-connecting.16549/ 0 ) - I didnt find your thread when searching but someone else pointed it out to me. I know it's only been a week but has replacing that...
  10. Electrify America fast charger not connecting [Post 27 resolution]

Update: NOPE! I tried logging in prior to connecting, and also tried holding the plug firmly until it locked... Same failure mode both times using my local EA DCFC... I guess I give the Ford Service desk a call tomorrow... hopefully just a software glitch or something. Thanks to everyone...
  11. Electrify America fast charger not connecting [Post 27 resolution]

Ha ha, luckily my 220V (aftermarket) charger that can run on my 20 amp 220V circuit arrived last night - so after about 8 hours of charging time I had over 60 miles of range back. But man, I cruised into my driveway on FUMES! Well, OK, not fumes. Weak sparks?
  12. Electrify America fast charger not connecting [Post 27 resolution]

Thanks for the replies, everyone! There is an EA fast charger in my town, I'll give that a try after work, by activating BEFORE I plug in... (Note to self: do NOT read the directions this time!)
  13. Electrify America fast charger not connecting [Post 27 resolution]

I've had my F150L for about 2 weeks now, and have just been charging at home with a 110V charger. Today I took my first long trip with it - 125 miles, but it was over the Cascades so my battery was about 50% when I got to my destination. So I decided I would need to hit a fast charger for the...
  14. NEMA 6-20 (220V 20 amp) charging solution?

New owner, first time poster... Just picked up my Lightning, and we are living in a rental house, so my ability to install a 50-amp circuit is limited... I'm currently using the Ford Mobile Charger on a 120 V outlet with the expected trickle of 3 miles of range per hour... The house _does_...
