  1. Horrible efficiency on recent trip.

How did you check it. The only way I could think to would be to have someone video it while I was driving. Nothing is jamming it that I can see, but I also can't move it by hand (not sure if normal or not).
  2. Horrible efficiency on recent trip.

Yeah, it must have been something strange. On the reverse route now (well, I was, currently charging) and I am getting around 2.0.
  3. Horrible efficiency on recent trip.

Overall for the trip down was 1.6 over a little less than 200 miles. During a slower speed section 55 to 60mph, efficiency increased to 1.8. I will check the tire pressure as soon as I can find a gas station on the trip home later today. Maybe that it is. Never had efficiency impacts this big...
  4. Horrible efficiency on recent trip.

I have found the sweet spot to be between 72 and 74, but we have pretty good charger coverage so more frequent stops are available.
  5. Horrible efficiency on recent trip.

I wanted to show all highway miles, so this was after a bathroom / breakfast stop at a rest area. We had been driving over an hour.
  6. Horrible efficiency on recent trip.

A little lower than I normally keep it, but not very low. 40psi per tire.
  7. Horrible efficiency on recent trip.

Hello all, Had my lighting for 3 years and many road trips now so I am used to all the things that impact efficiency, but this trip has me stumped. Relatively flat terrain, cruise set at 72 (with the some slowdowns), about 50 degrees out with minimal HVAC use, very light tail wind, and I am...
  8. What is your truck's nickname?

Skye -The Iced Blue Silver paint matched the color of the sky perfectly on the day I picked her up. For what it is worth, my wife's 2021 Mach-e GT is named Colin.
  9. Carrying a load

I have done it in tow/haul and in normal. Really didn't note much of a difference, so I just leave it in normal now. Even at Max payload, the truck barely feels like it is carrying anything.
  10. Infrared pics of heated steering wheel and driver's seat (2024 Lightning Flash)

Are you willing to share what camera you are using? I have been looking for a low cost one to check heat leakage in my house and these images look plenty good enough for that!
  11. Lightning Club Annual Event hosted by Tom Moloughney & Ford (Oct 25) - Chester, NJ

Would love more notice on these things if possible. I would be there but we are already booked for a college visit on the 25th.
  12. BlueCruise subscription question - ever any discounts offered?

To be fair, it doesn't have to be perfect - just better than a human who are pretty flawed drivers.
  13. BlueCruise subscription question - ever any discounts offered?

I thought you kept lane centering, not just lane keeping - it just isn't hands free.
  14. 3 year ownership report: 2022 Lightning Lariat ER

I recently rolled over 3 years myself and the moonroof is also my biggest issue. Not any creaking (it is silent), but the leaking! Very strongly considering just putting some vinyl over it to stop any water intrusion after paying ~$2,500 in repairs for water leaks this year.
  15. Ford CEO expects EV sales to be cut in half after US tax credits end today

I was thinking closer to 15 miles electric range, with worse highway fuel economy like the Jeep 4xe's
  16. Lightning Experience Improvement Suggestions

Ford doesn't do a great job linking to it, but here is your SWAG: https://merchandise.ford.com/collections/ford-trucks-f-150-lightning
  17. 2026 F-150 Lightning STX Model Introduced. Replaces the XLT

It looks nice, but is down on both power and range from the current ER trucks. I also noticed they mentioned a heated steering where, but not heated seats (unless I missed it). The lower price does help with those cuts, but I am not sure it is low enough to attract a slew of new buyers. STX...
  18. 3D Printer recommendation / advice?

I personally have a Creality CR-6E which has treated me well, and I had an Ender 3 before that. I tend to stay at the lower end of the market. I am not as familiar with your options for comparison, but don't see any issues with any of them. My biggest suggestion is to get something with some...
  19. The Speculative Future of EVs?

True, but there is a threshold to that range. If I have to do 15 minutes of charging every 60 miles that is no good either. My lightning usually ends up being 30 to 40 minutes every 200 miles or so (depending on fast charger location). So we are getting there, but not quite yet (except for a...
  20. Bluecruise Stopped Working | Fixed Post #12

I had something similar happen when GPS went out in my truck. Try looking at the onboard navigation (not android auto / carplay) and see if it is showing your location correctly.
