The battery is not simultaneously charging at 1C, and discharging at 1C, giving you 2C. The energy from the generator doesnt travel "through" the battery, that energy is going to the motors, from there the flow of energy varies from into the battery to out of the battery depending on the...
Oh, I see, Bud Smail Ford is in here now posting that THEY have the last red, platinum, Lightning...
brilliant marketing.
Lol, all in jest. It would be a good move to sell of your Lightning stock though!
Nah
Fod bowed to social media viewpoints that what trucks are used for is only long distance towing.
The Lightning already fits the every day use of most truck owners....we'll actually that is mostly commuting.
The lightning already fits the majority of uses for a truck. Hauling, short...
Ya'll need to stop throwing HP and KW together in this thread it just makes it confusing jumping back and forth and that they dont really represent the same idea in this construct.
The Lightning stores kwh, and uses kw while driving.
2.0mi/kwh at 70mph is 35kw average, meaning you use 35kwh in...
I think the vent extenders will make a big difference. With the way they are currently situated any hot air that comes out gets shot directly under the rear seat.
I have some that are designed to spread the air out and direct it upward to alleviate this issue.
I need to get mine to market...
Not-Ai Brian, I greatly appreciate your involvement here and for you providing this update. I have my frustrations here but Fords involvement in the community is not one of them. As this is my first ford I can say that I am pleased with a lot of "behind the scenes" decisions Ford seems to...
I know very little of programming these chips, but from what little I do know you describe it and it is a fairly simple process. Aside from a few components getting the module open is probably harder than the SW bit
Bringing this back.
Do we think there is any opportunity to reflash the memory chip with new sound effects?
I really want the little kid making motor sounds for the forward noise, and "move b---h get out of the way" for the backup sound.
Ok, maybe I won't do that second one, but I want to.
Eih, people like discussing physics for the fun of it, but I'm pretty sure the folks here really only care about the practical effects.
The that end, and after a multitude of people reporting, we have not seen practical improvements to the efficiency (and hence range) of the truck.
Again, it...
Not sure if you cant read or are purposely being obtuse.
No, you dont seem to want to provide it. And I expect its because you cant. It was your claim that those numbers are available, YOU provide it.
Do you think people dont notice when you try and make confrontational statements to drive...
So we don't have a source of official numbers delineated by trim, wheels, battery size, etc.
BTW, the link provided isnt a Ford memo to dealers, its a Dealer advertising page. That cannot be confirmed as a Ford official number as you dont know what the source of the information is. The other...
.. those are not currents...
I just explained how it can work. I get you don't want to accept that, and are trying to push your narative about using published numbers, but I said what I did for a reason.
BTW, I have not seen individual 0-60 numbers for each trim, battery, and wheel combination...
Ford uses a rollout as you said, anyone doing this will be using a phone app or at best a race box. Plus as each truck has different weights, in some places SIGNIFICANTLY different weights, the published times and the times a person's specific truck could achieve can be highly variable.
As for...
Yes, the nax is the point, because again, lowering the max is how performance would be reduced.
If you cant hit the max you cant get 0-60 or 1/4 mile times either. Except in those you have to hit the max the WHOLE time, simply measuring current you only have to hit it at some point.
Literally...
Woof...whatever, moving on.
HVB current is capped, it is the metric Ford limits in order to determine max performance.
Point being that 0-60 or 1/4 mile time will be suspect able to a bunch of factors. HVB current will have a set maximum. We dont have to determine a variable metric over...
