I did this with a generic key fob I ordered from aliexpress with no issue. This extra fob is left in the truck in faraday bag in locked center console safe. Mainly use for back up incase I lost my fob and for when I drop it off for service. Definitely need two original key fob.

Yes , deleted my charge location and had to replug so it detect the location again and redo the charge profile. But now I see it did stop at 90% charged however the app screen show target charge level 100%.

Here is mine, Amazon sell same one but for some reason the clip on didn’t stay. This one I ordered from China since it was cheap and took the chance on it. Haven’t fall off and it’s wireless charging. Does not obstruct anything and if need be the ventilator can be tilt up to hit the phone incase...

Felt the same as you but after watching the video and the detailed instruction here the difficulty level is similar (minus running wires) to adding the keypad on the door. The wiring I did a small section at a time so I know which plugs go where.

Wish this came earlier. Had hard time taking off the bolt also. Ended up taking it to the dealer to get it done and costing me almost 300 which I believe is a total rip off.
