The Sigenergy system does exactly what you want to do from a TOU case with home batteries. For the truck you can use their generator inlet and pro-power onboard in an off-grid condition. On grid they have a V2X module that works like the Home Integration System.

I can’t speak to it personally because mine never quite worked but there are others who have it working. The m-professional app does have time of use and other modes for the battery including self consumption.

The problem is that it is Sunrun, not Ford, that is really in charge of this system. That gets complicated if you didn’t use them for the install. Ford will definitely try and help but their hands are somewhat tied it seems.

Getting a charger installed for $300 is still a great deal. Your cost on wire/conduit and time is going to quickly approach that if you do it yourself. It really depends on where you live, but I would take that deal. Your contractor seems like quite a nice guy with the response he sent.

That would be easy to do. The Sigenergy is just a CCS1 or NACS connection. It can be removed and you could use the mobile charger or a wall charger every once and a while for AC. It would be a much more elegant solution than the pro power inverter (which can only be used as an off-grid...

If the pack will DC charge correctly through the charge port, we could see if it would work with the Sigenergy V2X charger. That would allow it to go on grid.
