  1. My new Ford Home Integration System + Battery installation project

Thank you, that worked. Yes it is pretty sparse. I will compare the Delta dashboard to the Sigenergy one below:
  2. FranklinWH aPower V2L and Pro Power Success!

Great Setup! I am really impressed by the Franklin system
  3. My new Ford Home Integration System + Battery installation project

I am trying to login, but it is not working. I am typing in the full serial number, as well as the pin I use to login to M professional. Says it is invalid.
  4. Sigenergy (PointGuard) Home system with generator input (Pro Power Onboard).

So it is not technically DIY. It does require a certified installer. My friend is a master electrician and we both went through the courses. it is extremely simple for people with good electrical knowledge and i did DIY the installation but my friend did check everything and we commissioned...
  5. Sigenergy (PointGuard) bi-directional system

I don’t have the V2X yet but I have used the generator input at 7kW to charge the point guard batteries. I am hoping to get the V2X in the next couple of weeks. I should be able to do at least 19kW from the truck but I will probably set the limit to 9.6 to match the HIS system and not bring on...
  6. First pickup ever – need advice on hard bed covers for winter + full bed access

The Bak X4S easily rolls up with minimal effort, but does not block your rear window view like a trifold. It does not impede any of the bed space either. I find it to be the perfect solution.
  7. Sigenergy (PointGuard) bi-directional system

Yes Enphase and Sigenergy are doing the ISO CC1 handshake to start the session over DC only for both charge and discharge. Ford and GM use the Delta inverter which obviously does not follow any standards based design. Tesla cybertruck is only one using AC AFAIK.
  8. Sigenergy (PointGuard) bi-directional system

So I would say that it is not a bug. Pointguard is following the ISO standard, and luckily so is Ford. You are correct that the difference in Tesla is that they have not come out to publicly support this, and certainly are not working with PointGuard in any fashion. Yes there is absolutely a...
  9. Sigenergy (PointGuard) bi-directional system

I can try and help find you an installer if you want me to. I have direct contacts with Sigenergy. I can also ask Sunrgy who is the distributor I purchase from.
  10. Sigenergy (PointGuard) bi-directional system

As an owner, I received an email stating that the functionality is now turned on globally. It is in the version 3.1 app, which goes active for North America on Sunday the 10th. The hardware shows in stock now at distributors.
  11. Sigenergy (PointGuard) bi-directional system

The Sigenergy (Pointguard) V2X system is now a real product on the market. Great video talking about it as well as showing a demo.
  12. Charging While Driving Works w/ Gas Generator in Bed (Range Extending for F-150 Lightning)

I have a few questions and notes: How many hours can a small generator like this actually run at full output (from a maintenance standpoint)? Can your charging hack work with DC charging? It would take about a 40kW or higher generator to basically run the truck indefinitely, but AC charging...
  13. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

The financials of solar, or solar+battery, are rapidly changing. For instance the upcoming removal of the 30% tax credit, and many areas no longer offering 1:1 net metering make it harder for new adopters to have the same direct and easily calculated return (if you are only doing solar for...
  14. Connecting SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover to Main Battery

Unfortunately the real world does not come out to that. Luckily you can go to pvwatts (pvwatts.nrel.gov). It will tell you the monthly and yearly kWh produced based on system size and orientation. A system with 0 degree tilt will produce about 876 kWh yearly on a fixed system here in Houston...
  15. Connecting SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover to Main Battery

I think both statements are fair, but on the flip side, a lot of people are not judging, but rather tempering what is likely to be un-realistic expectations. Further than that, depending on how accurately it is advertised, it could be treading into scam territory. You have a lot of history with...
  16. Connecting SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover to Main Battery

I think you would agree that yours is a more reasonable and cost effective solution than a bed cover panel. I assume that you put your solar panels on the ground in a more ideal layout when camping to charge the portable battery system.
  17. I need someone to help me respond to this if possible.

I don't quite see where this is accurate. How exactly will current kill this human where it would not have already tripped a breaker by following the neutral back to the source? Can you draw the fatal current path here?
  18. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

If your electric rates keep going up, it looks like getting a Tesla membership and using superchargers may be the lower cost option. Here in Texas by using battery storage and solar, I can manipulate the competitive market down to 4.5 cents / kWh in the summer and less than 1 cent / kWh in the...
  19. Connecting SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover to Main Battery

If you could park your truck on a 20 degree hill so that the cover faces perfectly S from sunup to sundown every day of the year, including the weekends, then this item would produce about 910 kWh of electricity per year (in Houston). If you could do this for 10 years straight and this item...
  20. Class Action Lawsuit - Home Integration System

Jim, After the 10.3 software update, automatic backup seems to be working for me (except if the truck has been off for a long time). If I have already used the door or have the truck on, it seems to start each time without having to re-plug the cable several times. Prior to 10.3 I used to have...
