Tesla is opening up new chargers and making additional existing chargers opened up to us. They opened a new 40 stall v4 location in Mt Laurel NJ a few weeks ago and sometime in the last two weeks they made previoulsy Tesla only stations at some of the rest stops on the CT turnpike open to those...
Same experiences with my supercharger stops as of late. Starting off with high values and dropping to the low 100s - high 90s after about 10 min of use.
Last trip I stopped at a couple of applegreen electric stations rated for 150kw in addition to the Tesla stops. Those pulled 130s pretty much...
I’ve noticed mine has heated up more after fast charging this year. This summer, ambient temps of 80 or higher get me up to the area where yours is showing. Haven’t seen it increase while driving though.
My coolant has been in the basically same place as yours @ChrisInVegas since last winter. I...
Most I’ve paid with a membership is .42 per kWh. That was peak pricing outside of NYC. Everywhere else it’s in the .32 - .34 per kWh. Membership fee of $12.99 pays for itself after 2-3 stops. I get not wanting to give Elon money, but he’s got a network and I like to travel….
Looks like a Y went up as well… :p

This was a great location for me, en route to the poconos. Hope it’s fully operational again soon.
Looks like a great location. Most Tesla stops in my travels have been at Sheetz / Wawa which get just as old as Walmart and Walmart has had the cleanest restroom options especially when traveling with children.
ABRP, Plugshare, and the Tesla app primarily. I save the Tesla stations along my route on the in truck nav and then route to them along my route based upon electron burn rate and bio break need on a given trip.
My stop sequence is:
push button on truck
listen for the supercharger to stop running (1-2 sec)
push button on adapter to release from truck
pull release button on adapter to release from Tesla plug
In the last week I’ve put on about 1300 mi in two separate road trips. I used the ford adapter and charged exclusively at Superchargers. 6 charge sessions and all but one pulled highs of 166-178. The one that was slower was an un planned stop for a bio break so I wasn't deep in the charge curve...
My daily use is about 45-50 mi round trip. I set the charge to 80% and plug in anytime I’m home and the truck is not in use. I subscribe to the ABC model - always be charging, to have the frequent but small charges.
I'm holding out hope that Ford's SUV ev is out by the time I'm ready to turn in my lightning in about 6 yrs...
That ev9 really is the only one of it's kind so far, hope it works out for you. My wife has been saying that's what she needs to replace her Santa Fe XL.
We've had a variety of...
Not sure if this helps, but this is what mine looks like and it worked ok. In my experience the trouble connecting to the truck seems to be more tied to the amount of slack on the Tesla cord than the plug itself.
But as @The Weatherman suggests contact A2Z they’ll answer any questions you may...
That is only if you tried the new version exper in app version 4.37. If you upgraded to 5.0 your stuck.
So you can find your truck in a parking lot.…slightly more helpful than the directions button taking you to your apple/google maps to give you a route from your present location to your...
