I agree with everything you said before the edit. With the wheels on, the truck should be completely undamaged if the jack didn't hit anything as it was tipping over, although from another post by the OP it looks like the jack did hit and dent something.
BUT. The tires should be rotated in the...
"you CANNOT do the tire rotation with one jack, unless you use the spare tire also."
True, but unless you destroyed one tire and replaced it with something mismatched, you really should be including the spare in your rotation, shouldn't you?
The first thing I'd check for is another dealer within 100 miles. Only if I didn't find one would I bother to check to make sure the tech was fired. Doing this once was dumb. Doing it second after dropping the truck was mind-blowingly stupid. That could have been very da gerous for him and...
Own a Tesla and can confirm. Actually, people are sometimes more sociable at the rare small Supercharger sites, but at the big ones, it's pretty much the Borg.
Isn't this the "OFFICIAL adapter for nacs to j1772(Tesla destination chargers)?" It has all the NACS contacts on one side and all the J1772 contacts on the other. Why wouldn't it enable both?
I'm going to sue Ford. They should have opened for reservations around 11:00 pm PST. That would have been much more fair.
ETA: I agree there is no argument for LA over NY... Because San Francisco is a thing.
Dear Mr. 19,
I'm not going to lie. Right now, I kind of hate you. And time zones. I'm pretty mad at them too. But don't worry, I'll get over my jealousy soon.
I started trying to reserve this at 6:30 am, but due to the evil of time zones, folks in the Eastern, Central, and Mountain time...
Realistically, it would be great to have pictures of the coolant lines leading to and from the 7.2kW inverter and what they connect to. In the best of all possible worlds, I'd want those, pictures of the orange high voltage line leading to that inverter, and pictures of part numbers for both...
I certainly don't disagree with that. The "extra $120,000 line was particularly absurd.
I was just being a bit pedantic because I was annoyed to learn how much it costs and by the seemingly unnecessary duplication of inverters already present on the truck. In fact, I'm still a little grumpy...
For the Lightning, the cost of V2H gear is more like $5,000 than $2,000. That's because Ford does the home backup using a complicated system of feeding high voltage DC power from the truck through its Charge station Pro to a panel on your house connected to an inverter that converts the DC...
I live in an area with absurdly high EV market shares, a "semi-rural" suburb in the SF Bay Area, but in my town of about 20,000 I know of one other Lightning for sure and may have seen one more. Rivians, on the other hand, are a common new car, not as common as the Model 3 or Y, of course, bit...
I agree that's what should be involved, but I'm not finding part numbers that go with all those lines. I'd probably get a better sense of how the lines could be Jerry-rigged if I took the bed off, but I can't do that until our other car gets back from the shop or my wife will kill me.
Side...
Hey, I just found a Munro video that seems to show the cooling line connections for the Pro Power voltage converters/inverters. It's at about 12:28 in this video on the cooling system:
I've read about the guy who bought the truck that was supposed to include the 7.2kW second inverter, but...
