Google answer - Class IV hitches used for weight distributing are rated from 12,000 to 14,000 lbs. gross trailer weight (GTW) with a maximum trailer tongue weight (TW) of 1200 to 1400 lbs. A Class IV hitch usually has a 2" square receiver opening. Hitch and ball separate as per your requirements.
After reading this thread, I started thinking. Will we still get OTA's after the warranty is over? And if so, for how long? Will it be like Windows saying they will no longer support that version of software?
If your ok with it, I think a copy this message should be send to FORD on the forum. If enough people request this, maybe they will start doing it. They are changing things in a truck they no longer own. I would like to know what is being done to MY truck.
I have an aftermarket spray in box liner and I took the brackets off to install the cheats, which required a little of persuasion with a rubber hammer. I have no plans to take them out and the front 2 are holding down my cross bed tool box.
I did a few days ago. Little changes here and there. Haven't played with the Sync 4 to exactly what is changed. I do now they moved the icons around in some of the menus.
I run Duratecks on my 21 XLT (also used the same set of tires and rims on my 06 and 11 F 150's) in the winter and have them on a stock 2010 F 150 Ford rim. No problems unless you need an offset. They are 265/70R18's, same size as what I have on the truck for summer.
I have had mine since May and it is a learning curve. So I am thinking it i also a learning curve for the tech. I did have an issue with the trailer light check when I first got the truck and it took a couple of trips to the dealer to get fixed. Just a thought and not taking anything away from...
With all the teck on the truck and everything has to "TALK" to each other, I would have them make sure that the truck now knows there is a TBC installed and are talking. Also have them contact Ford teck and have them walk the mechanic through trouble shooting. You time is not free, even if you...
I just got the 2.1.0 update last night and just got the 1.7.0 update last Monday. Noticed the icons on the Sync 4 have been moved around under the Settings tab and it no longer shows my phone connection in the top left corner but the phone is connected. Will have go looking to see what else has...
I read it as the weight rating of the front axle to meet the max weight capacity that was ordered. At the bottom it states that the front springs are computer selected for each weight requirements. When you put weight in the box of the truck, ahead of the rear axle, some of that weight is shared...
My son has a 2015 F 150 that he replace the lug nuts on with a set on non OEM's and had a vibration around 50 MPH. Found that the lug nuts were not deep enough inside to tighten down on the rim at 150 ft/lbs as spec'ed. They would torque to 150 but was hitting the top inside of the lug nut and...
