I cannot say for sure, but I researched this a couple months ago (when the OEM 20", or are they 19" were full of congealed rock dust and ice) and pretty quick decided that the 64H rims were the solution. They are more open, so you can clean them out, if needed.
Aftermarket rims seemed mostly...
This is perhaps what you desire. You can see in my other posts a picture of my families Lariat that we changed to these rims.
Go to ebay and identify the rims based on appearance or the 64H designation.
Bear in mind that the electric utilities on one hand want to sell electricity and on the otherhand, they don't. They hate large point demands., especially erratic or unexpected. They like new residential developments where from experience they can predict loads.
Ask them for something out of...
Right at 12k. We have towed up to 18k. The ammonia tanks get towed only short distances (they have SMV signs and are *only* supposed to go 30 mph) of 2-5 miles. Its hard to see, but that's a dampered "cushion" hitch to reduce the push/pull that occurs when towing these weights on farm roads...
North of Gaylord KS, south of 36, west of Smith Center. Smith County KS, home to Lebanon KS, Geographic center of the lower 48. And not much else except cows, corn, wheat (and a lot of whitetails)......
Problem is that Abilene or Salina adds 40 miles or so. Shortest routes are either over St...
This is sad to hear. CCS seems dead, as manufacturers abandon it for NACS, but the fabulous Tesla network appears far less fabulous today. All this turmoil about a standard plug will just slow roll out of charging stations. Having an adaptor (or 2) will help, but wow -- no one warned about...
Here around Kansas City, I would say 50% or more Tesla superchargers are this way. Yes, I have told the Tesla app that I have a NACS to CCS1 adaptor.
When I click on the stations in question in the FordPass app, it goes from "station not compatible" to showing merely "not recommended".
Sadly...
I went through the whole manual and printed the parts that seemed relevant (for instance, different size screens have different and irrelevant sections in the manual. This was for my 80 y/o father. Even with parts deleted, its a huge pile of stuff. Large 3 ring binder. This was printing 2...
Are you sure about that? There are adapters to allow J1772 to NACS. The upper part of CCS is just a J1772. Thus you can charge the Lighting with any old J1772 (We use an Emporia 48A J1772 out on the farm, in town my brother uses the FCSP with the CCS)
"There are no adapters to go from CCS to...
Basically every answer given thus far is useless. The OP has not given enough information about his system to answer the question. Does OP have grid tie? Batteries? Hybrid? We have no idea what a " 5.4 kw peak solar system" is.
OP -- try DIYSolarforum They will know far more that the...
That's a very novel thought! I think first, one would want to kill the electricity to the EVSE and make sure the wires to the CCS (DC) plugs are disconnected. Judging by the installation manual, the wires from the CCS plug are connected to stuff inside that is isolated from the AC 240V stuff...
This is correct. J1772 and Tesla together are good future proofing. For home overnight charging 48A will be enough for a very very long time. See below why NOT to use the Ford EVSE.
All true BUT BUT BUT.... Because the FCSP has the possible feature of home backup built in, the CCS style...
I ordered a Lectron on 10/24/2023. Nothing, except a credit card charge. I emailed a week ago
Response " we are expecting stock in 1-2 weeks"
Don't order Lectron IMO -- they are close to 6 mo out.
If this a large shop or you *might* eventually trench in a proper utility feed, then don't scrimp on the main load center (breaker box). Rewiring a bunch of circuits a few years down the road because you ran out of spaces is a pain. Have done that!
Load centers are cheap, relatively. These...
You might not want to try that. The OEM Lariat rims that we have/had (still have, laying in a corner) built up snow/ice until the vehicle could not be driven over 45 mph. IMO the OEM 20" rims are worthless in the winter in real conditions that encounter snow/mud/ice/dirt etc. If you are...
First off --- this is not the forum for DIY Solar and battery backup discussions. Try www.diysolarforum.com
Keep in mind that you will hear from THIS forum again and again about code solutions. And they are very limiting. Except perhaps you are not in a jurisdiction where all that applies...
I get a lot of "the grid cannot handle all those Evs" comments. I think right wing media must pump that misconception a lot, and average Joes that pay a decent electric bill each month to keep their house cool fear this and uses it as a rational to oppose EVs even when someone else is driving...
I'm gonna necromance this old dead thread and then go to bed. Forum suggested to read it -- and I was seduced.
Back in the late 60's early 70's my dad would shift the F100 into "double low" as it was called. At idle it crept nice and slow, allowing a 5y/o to avoid posts/trees etc while dad...
To reiterate -- your home based system is already grounded, probably at multiple points. It has breakers and if its decent, GFCI and AFI breakers for circuits that are in locations that are deemed needing such. If it is NOT, then you should not be here discussing the minutia of the ground...
