I tried looking up these error codes and I’m getting conflicting results but I’m not a dealer tech. But it hints to me a possibly being a bad 12 volt battery. Since the cost of this repair is extremely high I would try to get another dealer to give you a second look. At least that’s what I would do.

The thing that kind of shocked me was that they said the gas engine supplies 130khw to the battery. That’s like super charger level. I don’t think I realized an EREV engine generator could be that powerful. So I guess this is the direction Ford is going with a massive v6 in the frunk as well.

Back in 2019 or so Ford and Rivian had plans to co-develop a vehicle. Ford invested over $1bn in Rivian at one point. But that all dissolved. I don’t know exactly why though.

Yeah that was my thought as well. There was speculation earlier in this thread about a lithium 12v replacement.

The reviews are looking good for this thing. Just hope Rivian can keep the entry cost in the $45k range as stated.

Interesting. I haven’t yet seen a case of a front motor dying before, but I’ve heard of at least a couple cases of the rear one blowing out and throwing chunks of metal and leaking fluid.
