Better patch notes than Ford. Not a high bar, but still it’s appreciated. If you got a tip jar, I’m willing to kick a few bucks your way for your development.
I'm a point now to where I think that the users on these forums are far more informed about the trucks than literally everyone at Ford who's not actually engineering them.
I just want to take the time to educate people that the reason why stop/start is impossible to remove from PB F150s is because the electric motor is linked directly to the ICE and will act as a starter for it while it's running. It's a much better solution than auto stop/start that's in regular...
This is not expected to be 100% watertight (Retrax's warranty information specifically calls this out), but it should largely protect my stuff from the weather. I'll be running my truck through a car wash soon to evaluate what it looks like on the inside. Since what I plan to mostly store in...
Installed a Retrax MX Pro Tonneau cover on my truck today. I feel great about it. Looks sharp, easy to open, locks up tight. I feel good about the added weight in the back too.
Wow that is worse than I thought. That's so much in cab storage space that's gone now. And the battery isn't even higher capacity than the PB!
Only advantage I can see is that there's no danger for the battery being hit by objects on the ground, which explains why it's on their TRD Pro line.
Tundra forums are not super happy with this reveal. Some of them are even saying they may as well get the Powerboost.
I agree. Me being a first year adopter of the PB, it makes me very happy to know how ahead of the game it is and also a year early.
Less storage space, and electric only only...
Do you happen to have more than 1 phone? I would swap phones and see if you see it pop up. If it works on another phone, then I'd start to see if the lightening port itself is bad, or has some debri, etc.
Also, you can perform a hard restart of the Sync4 system by holding down the power...
Disable wireless Carplay if you're going to stick to using wired. I did that, and a lot of weird issues went away.
If after doing that, it's still not popping up, replace the USB cable outright. I've found that even slight degradation of the cable can kill Carplay, even if it will still...
Basically this thread is to find out who has the components needed to potentially upgrade to Active. Not all 360 Assist 2.0 builds are apparently the same. You're not going to be able to upgrade easily if you don't have the front parking sensors...you'll need a whole new bumper for that just...
Reading this older thread, looks like XLT 302A with 360 Assist 2.0 gets the sensors, Lariat 502A with same tech package does not unless you opted for Active.

That's a bummer. Makes no sense to not have these...
Interesting. I definitely have the front bumper sensors...4 of them. And 4 in the rear as well. I don't have Parking Assist. I wonder if I'm mistaking something?
