Back in 2019 or so Ford and Rivian had plans to co-develop a vehicle. Ford invested over $1bn in Rivian at one point. But that all dissolved. I don’t know exactly why though.
Interesting. I haven’t yet seen a case of a front motor dying before, but I’ve heard of at least a couple cases of the rear one blowing out and throwing chunks of metal and leaking fluid.

As soon as the battery tech allows for lighter packs and longer range I agree it’ll be back. Something like solid state batteries. Ford knows they have to be ready to pounce as soon as this happens so that’s what they’re keeping the electric drivetrains alive with the EREV and smaller next gen...

the pull plug they are talking about is yellow. The green pull plug is the high voltage disconnect.
I’m still looking for something that looks as oem as possible and doesn’t stick out. It’s too bad Ford put the blindspot indicator right up on the top left where a blindspot mirror would seem to make the most sense.
