Only a small batch of part number 1434343-00-D was recalled. If you just got the Tesla-made adapter, and it's not that part number, then you're good to go.
Received the replacement today for my recalled Mach-E adapter that I kept when I traded the Mach-E for the Lightning. Order #5401 placed on 2/29/24. It's the new Lectron style.
I’ve owned a Mach-E and now a Lightning without any issues. So far my Lightning has been my favorite vehicle to drive.
My biggest problem has been a moderate case of PPA (Potential Problem Anxiety). I’m pretty sure the cure is to stop coming here and reading posts on issues. :)
Reminds me of...
If I believe everything I've read online, I've most likely already ruined my battery! So if a big storm or other emergency is coming that may result in a power outage...I'm filling my ICE vehicles to the top, and charging my EVs, eBikes, Dewalts, and nose hair trimmer to 100%. I also wouldn't...
My reading comprehension may be lacking, but I don't understand the logic of this one at all. Here's what I'm understanding:
1. You bought a Lightning.
2. You hate it because of towing range.
3. You traded it for---wait for it....
3. ....Yet another Lightning (taking a huge financial hit) and...
I plug in every day and charge to 90% and up to 100% when extra range is needed. If I have the option to plug in at home, and there's no downside, why wouldn't I maintain the highest recommended SOC? It takes an extra 10 seconds to plug it in. Some will argue that there is a downside, but I've...
I think the Lightning story will be used for years to come as a case study by business schools on how not to market a product. The Lightning is an amazing vehicle that has been totally and utterly mis-marketed by Ford.
Mine was built 12/2023, so it falls in the date range. I figured I better give my nuts a quick self-check, so I just reached in and felt both of my nuts and they're still firmly attached. :like: It also appears that they haven't dropped yet (So in this case, that's good news too). Not sure if...
There are several threads on this that may help. Here's a recent one to get you started. I hope it's nothing major. Let us know what the dealer says. We're finding that the hive knowledge here is more than what most dealers have, so it may be a good idea to go in armed with printouts of some...
Update: Still not able to see the option to add service history in the app. But I was able to go into my dashboard on the Ford website and add my own service record and it immediately showed up on the app. I added a service record for an OEM part (tailgate dampening cartridge) that I installed...
Re-started phone - Nope. Logged out and in again-Nope. I guess the next step is to delete the app and re-download--But I don't think I care enough about that feature to do that.
