  1. Getting dropped by State Farm for several not-at-fault claims 😡 who are you using to insure your Lightning(s) and how's it working out?

State Farm agents are captive so ask you friend if he knows of any good independent agents. They will shop your insurance
  2. Tailgate light leaking after recall

I do not know if I would trust the analysis of AI. Mr. Chat Bot says you should be covered because of an electrical issue. The issue is not really an electrical issue. The water leakage into the light is causing an electrical issue and water leakage is excluded from coverage. It would be...
  3. Whose truck worked great today?

I do not want to say I never had an issue since taking delivery in August of 2022 because you all know what will happen. So I am not going to tell you I never had a problem even though I never had a problem

  7. Selling my 2022 Pro with 30k miles

I entered my 2022 Pro in Carvana a few weeks ago. Pro has 28k miles, stickered for $45.7k. Offer from Carvana was $33k. After reading about all of the trade hits on the higher trims I did not think that offer was too bad because the truck was bought for $38.2k after the federal tax credit.
  8. 2023 F-150 Lightning Windshield Cracked After Defrost—Ford Won’t Cover It! Help Needed

I assume your truck has been through cold weather cycles before and the windshield did not crack. Unfortunate that it happened but probably not a reason to black ball Ford, and I fully understand why glass issues would not be warranted on a 2023 vehicle. Focus on the positive.
  9. Ford Sunroofs Suck - Seal Issue Discovered

I stay away from vehicles with sunroofs. I just replaced my wife's seven year old Explorer with a Tahoe. Closest LT I could find without a sunroof was three hours away. Off we went to NJ to test drive it. She liked it so we brought it home. In my mind, sunroofs are like skylights. Sooner or...
  10. Not getting software updates, how do owners know if something is wrong?

I park my truck in the garage connected to the mobile charger at all times when parked. Automatic updates are scheduled for Mondays at 1a.m. Last update was 2/4/25, software update 10.1.1. I don't understand why Ford is telling you the charge door has to be closed.
  11. Betrayed [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS; MEMBERS WARNED/BANNED]

Betrayed by the current administration? Not me. ' I am a fan of the eat what you kill mentality and the doing away with guberment hand outs.

  13. 2023 Ford Lightning, 4,000 miles - 5 out of 6 lug nuts and studs sheared off of the right front wheel!

Or a vandal or someone that got interrupted while trying to steal wheels., When a shop failed to tighten lug nuts on a wrangler I used to own, I only made it a few miles before three studs snapped.
  14. Help - stranded

Glad the OP got unstranded. I personally like the shifter. The shift dial makes no sense to me. Maybe its a generation thing.
  15. Frunk only goes down manually.

Just for giggles, make sure all of the doors are unlocked and try it again.
  16. Toolkit Suggestions

I carry a multi-tool and duct tape in all of my vehicles. In all honesty, although I am mechanically inclined, I don't think I would be able go fix anything mechanical on a Lightning, Problem is when I am "out" I am usually in the middle of nowhere, so my basic tool kit is a chainsaw, pocket...
  17. Lemon/buyback and Pro Trim

What is the update? I went from an ICE Platinum to a Pro. I cannot ever recall turning on the rear defroster during the three years I had the Platinum, and have never needed it, or wished I had it, for the 2+ years I have been driving the Pro.
  18. Ford EV Trucks still eligible for IRS tax credit in 2025.

  19. Simple non-permanent truck bed mount for 20L jerry can

I pretty much do the same as Broncoaz when I pick up diesel for the tractor. One strap at the top and one at the bottom. I also stole one of my wife's yoga mats that I lay across the back of the bed to prevent the container, and any other items from sliding.
  20. FORD MOBILE CHARGER SOFTWARE UPDATE?

Picked the truck up today. The dealer replaced the charger cable. I was watching the charge rate remotely after the cable was replaced and it charged at a consistent 6.5kw. Emporia charger is still in my cart.
