That's an odd one. My Bluetooth comes on automagically when I plug in but it doesn't touch the WiFi. Android is pretty customizable though so I imagine it's a setting somewhere.

You just need to turn your phone WiFi off and plug in. It still uses the Bluetooth but it doesn't drop out.
