Yeah, I don't think it was a lack of software. It was a lack of being able to pay the tech if they actually did the PCM and SOBDMC update at that time. I'm convinced without seeing your software available list that the PCM and SOBDMC updates were available the day your truck was there, they...
PTS 30 Mar 26
And as proof that the PCM and SOBDMC updates that I applied over three weeks ago were indeed the 25C69 fix I ran the FSA verification, and it now says 25C69 is completed and provides a code to process clearing the recall. So I don't know why it took so long for Ford to enable...
I believe the issue is not that the activation isn’t taking place, it’s that when it does, the pawl doesn’t fully engage.
And I use Auto Hold on all three of my vehicles now (I used FORScan to turn it on on the Bronco) just to avoid negative habit transfer. I never worry about stop light creep...
That I don't know. I do know that the SOBDMC is the prime software update target of 25S69 and the PCM gets updated with it. So how they are working the both of those together 🤷‍♂️
From PTS this morning. Notice it says it's still an Advance Notice. No dealer should be trying to do this until the full bulletin has been released (around the middle of May).
...and your sig says you have a '23 model? You should already have had WAL. Only early build '22 models (like up to June of 2022) needed the BCM and APIM update to enable WAL. I'm wondering where things went wrong on your truck. It's possible that the BCM has the correct software but the WAL...
Well that's not actually the problem with WAL programming right now....the actual problem (aside from the fact that your dealership doesn't want to do the update for free) is the fact that the ability to perform a BCM software update (or PMI) has been removed from the FDRS tool the techs use...
FDRS does update the cloud server when an update is performed. The tech likely ran the verification after doing the updates and copied the code it provided into the verification form in PTS.
It doesn't take a month. It takes seconds to clear the recall...what makes the process take longer on...
Well It's now the morning of the 25th and there is no update on this as was promised (see above). So '22/'23 Lightnings are still not able to get scheduled for repair yet.
Yeah that was the idea. But I had to actually go out there and tell it to "Update Now" to get things started. I thought it might connect to the mothership while it was in climate mode...but I guess not.
He had to enter a pin....? I wonder what that was about? I still have that ACM update in my list. I just ignore it now. But on the other hand my truck does not have an outstanding recall for the ACM module anyway (24U14). Just a ACM module in my list of available software that won't go away.
I've had my Bedrug so long I really can't remember what version it is. It covers the whole bed including the tailgate and has the closed cell foam sections on the underside that fit into the bed and cushion the load and make the floor flat. After a disastrous experience with a paint-to-match...
