i'm in the same boat. have tried 6.8 update over 2 dozen times under different charging scenarios. i have not measured 12v battery yet, nor have i gotten my battery module looked at yet (part of the service bulletin). i am hoping this is an issue w/ the LVB, as all prior software updates worked...
Thanks for the post; I'm interested in learning more. A 1200W amp would draw ~100A @ 12v at full load. Its my understanding that the DC-DC converter can only support about 50A total.
Are you able to monitor load/stress on the 12V battery health? I want to install an aftermarket amp but I'm...
Ford did nothing to decieve anyone here; there is no basis for a lawsuit. You bought a truck with an advertised battery capacity, and you got a truck with that capacity. How far that battery capacity takes you is a function of multiple things discussed in this thread, namely temperature, wind...
Does the battery pack actually produce excess heat in long distance highway driving? I would think not, considering that when you are steady-state on the highway you are on low utilization and wont pull much current. At least from my own observations, I have done long distance highway driving...
looks normal to me. I dont think any OEM (other than Tesla) invests in a decent GPU for their screens. Even $130k+ Mercedes, Audis and BMWs have a similar laggy screen.
if you use car play, the rendering of the graphics uses the phone's GPU, and the wireless interface just broadcasts the...
I have the same issue. A crack lead to water damage, which fried the BLIS sensor inside the taillight, and Ford wants $3200 to replace the entire taillight and sensor. You may have the same problem if water has pooled in the bottom. My truck is throwing BLIS error messages and cross-traffic...
i have been able to get forscan to run using UTM on macos ( https://mac.getutm.app/ ). UTM itself is a friendly wrapper for QEMU. I could only get this working on x86/x64 chipset based Macs. I could not get any M1/M2 based macs to either virtualize or emulate windows properly to get forscan to...
I have the same problem. A small crack lead to water, and broke the blis sensor.
dealer wants $3100 for a new assembly and to reprogram the sensor
I found a sensor on eBay for $39. Next I have to figure out how to use forscan to adjust the sensor ID. I will make a post once I figure this out
Recap: I have a crack in my taillight. Taillight works fine. Water got in there, and my BLIS sensor stopped working, throwing error codes.
Update: Dealer wants $3100 to replace the taillight assembly. They are unwilling to replace just the sensor. I tried to talk them into replacing and coding...
All my updates have erased my radio presets, too. This is not a profile/user issue. The settings are just reset.
Some other minor things, like 'propulsion sounds', i always have turned off but they turn back on when an OTA comes through.
Based on this thread, i took a look at my rear tail light to see if there was any obvious problem - and i noticed a crack.
A few months ago, the metal end of a bungee strap got stuck in my tail gate, and when it closed it cracked the tail light. This in turn looks like it has caused moisture to...
I have a 200A service to my house and had no issues getting a 100A breaker installed for 80A to FCSP. My installation was done by SunRun. I have 2x HVAC units. I run a Sense energy monitor on my panel ( https://sense.com/ ), and the max I have ever pulled with both ACs on and while charging, is...

Adding 'bluecruise' to a build costs $2200 which yes over 3 years is ~700/yr. But this adds/upgrades hardware to the vehicle.
Continuing to charge $700/yr for software upgrades and maintenance with no improvements or upgrades on the hardware is too expensive as evidence by nearly every comment...
Lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control is definitely table stakes and should not be gated behind a paywall. As someone else mentioned, leasing the top of the line iPhone is $70/mo. Paying $75/mo for bluecruise is very bad product management and highlights that Ford is still figuring out...
