Listen to @Maquis. He knows way more about this than me. I wrote my reply above before I read this. I agree with what I've quoted here but I'll leave my post above for posterity...or something.
* I am an idiot and you should assume I'm wrong...
I think this is more straightforward than a lot of code language. It's basically saying the Generic 6852 is for use with a separately derived system with a bonded neutral and a ground. The Lightning has a bonded neutral and qualifies as a...
40A*240V=9.6kW
9.6kW*0.85=8.2kW (due to heat loss)
98kWh÷8.2kW=12 hours from zero to 100% in an SR.
Any overnight stay should get you to your target charge, no problem.
Animal for sure. Looks like the marks the chipmunk made when he got himself locked in my garage and tried to chew himself out. Also looks like the marks a squirrel made while trying to chew its way into our plastic food bin while camping.
Depends on the amperage of the charger. Ohms law says Amps*Volts=Watts. @RickLightning sums it up pretty well above. If the installed charger is higher amperage it will take less time if it's lower amperage it will take more time.
That's super interesting. I wouldn't think Ford sells many trucks in Arabic speaking countries but maybe?
There's a huge Arabic population in Dearborn, maybe an Easter egg from an Arabic speaking engineer?
Worst case scenario would be outside of my comfort zone. In winter with a head wind you might see 1.5 m/kWh on the highway. Put another way, you'll use about 75 kWh one way. That leaves 23 kWh of reserve with an SR battery, which means you'll have to charge to 100% every day.
What is the rate...
The dealer is right, the dash cam destroyed the transmission, bent the driveshaft, and probably rounded the camshaft but you won't know that until the next oil change. Shame on you for treating your truck so badly! You probably don't even tune the carburetors do you?
Close the door, count to three, press the lock button. If you pause before locking the door your success percentage will go way up.
As @BennyTheBeaver says, using the keypad works pretty much all the time.
How do you rotate tires? It's a pain to even get a jack stand on the lift points.
I have two sets of wheels/tires which I have for other reasons but it makes rotations easy. It's probably the most expensive way of doing it short of buying a two post lift though.
I guess what I mean is, there's not a part you have to remove on an ICE F150 to use the frame rail to lift it like there is on a Lightning? I just checked my wife's 2022 Navigator and there's nothing preventing lifting by the frame rail. I'm assuming it's the same on ICE trucks but I haven't...
That's an obstacle, not a barrier. Just because Ford is willing to pay $1 million for a machine that does the same thing that...uh, weight does doesn't mean it can't be done. I have faith the members of this forum can come together and do the things that probably aren't worth doing!😆
But it's possible to lift it using the frame rail between the jack points isn't it? That's a question because my last F150 was a 2010 and you could absolutely lift it using the frame rails.
Definitely cut. If it were me, it would bother me and I'd want the dealership to fix it but I also wouldn't want to deal with the dealership more than I had too so I'd sit on it a few days to see if I forgot about it.
I had a tire replaced at Discount Tire. I figured they probably didn't have many Lightnings come through but did have a lot of F150s so I asked the customer facing tech to make sure that only the designated jack points were used. I was still paranoid so I watched the tech after my truck was...
Anything's possible with enough time, effort, and money.
Worthwhile? Not in my opinion. I've used the scales in my truck a few times but only to verify it was indeed overloaded. It didn't change my behavior one bit.😁
I can't speak to Car Play but Android Auto works flawlessly a huge majority of the time for me. When it doesn't I plug in and wireless works the next time. Wired is almost certainly more reliable but I suggest using wireless if it fits your needs better.
