I also got this update (EAP) but I have no idea what it’s supposed to accomplish - can someone in the know tell me what the Gateway Module update adds?
I did not. They cut me a check that day. There’s a lot of variables here so I’m not sure exactly how I can help best, but here was our scenario - we did NOT do a pre-approval certificate, because we knew exactly the truck we wanted and exactly the price. I also had the price sheet the dealer...
I went in 16 hours from "no idea when it will ship" to "the dealer has it now". I just have to wait for them to get their ducks in a row/poop in a group/rhyme of your choice.
BOO. I can't imagine it costs that much for them to maintain it. Just give folks API keys and limit queries by the hour like everyone else, sheesh.
Sorry they took that away from y'all.
Okay, looking through Ford's website, they claimed the dealership actually had it? I called the dealer, and my sales guy is a moron. He said they didn't have it, and I said "maybe, Ford says you have it but they haven't been great at communicating". He asked when I placed the order, I said...
Ah okay, thank you. I didn't know if that meant the activate button appeared, or you were actually able to activate.
I've had the button for weeks but it always says unavailable.
Are you searching these by hand? I could probably whip up a tool in a few hours that you feed it a spreadsheet, and it spits out "codes" for status and date. Assuming Ford lets me poke the API.
Not as fast as mine - I'm still quoted as delivery window 9/19-9/25!
...Maybe they meant next year?
Edit: No it actually says the years, 9/19/2023-9/25/2023. Time machine confirmed.
I’m on mobile and exhausted so I don’t know how to quote both you and @TaxmanHog, but as a software engineer AND a government bureaucrat I have some ideas.
1) The trucks likely don’t have the same software loaded because they likely don’t have the same hardware loaded. Not all trucks are...
Bold move coming in here with your first post and saying "well my truck is already here..."
Just kidding. We're grateful to have you join us! Lots of us are in limbo so we're always excited to see deliveries!
Regarding the fix - I am not a technician, but given it's NOT a recall but a CSP...
Your dealer is wrong. The tax credit is dependent on multiple data points, like the cost of the vehicle and your income. The $7500 is a rebate, likely to move old stock to make room for new stock. As of today if you want the tax rebate you will need to fill out the appropriate forms come tax...
I finally got a spicy update - unfortunately it has nothing to do with my truck, it's just dealer drama.
It turns out the reason I haven't been hearing back from my sales guy when I email/call him is... he quit like 2 days after I placed my order, and they inadvertently didn't transfer my...
