There was a year where we had to rent a house while ours was being built. We went from two L2 chargers to two L1 chargers. We were able to survive just fine. Albeit, we had 2 Teslas at the time which were more efficient and had smaller batteries. Now we have an ER Lightning and an ER Mach-E...
My 2023 XLT has the powered tailgate. It is part of the 312A equipment group that was available on the XLT. Gave me all the goodies I wanted without having to get the leather seats, and annoying eye tracking of the Lariat while keeping the buttons and dials for radio and HVAC (which I wanted...
Keep in mind that the OP is towing a pop-up camper, not a 30ft 2 axel toy hauler. In my XLT ER, I get 1.7 m/kw on average pulling a hard sided Trailmanor pop-up camper which mirrors what others have seen towing popups. That gives a SR a 135ish mile range leaving a 20% charge buffer. An ER gets...
I almost certain that Ford EVs default to a 90% charge limit when you plug into a DCFC. It's the car that is stopping the charge at 90%. Once plugged in, you have to then go into the charging screen and manually move the slider above 90% if you need more than 90%. That's what I have done on the...
I have had the opposite experience. I've never had a charger stop at 90% if I set the charge level above 90% in the car's charging screen. Maybe Ford limits the one time charge to 90% by default but if I set the charge level to 100%, it charges to 100% at any charger I've used.
Just for clarification for the OP, this is not true. Just last weekend, I was charging immediately before picking up a camper and needed as much charge as possible to get home. I charged to 96% at a Supercharger before I had the leave to meet the seller. There may occasional restrictions at peak...
The most memorable vehicle my dad had was a 1979 F-150 Supercab. We called it the Farm Truck. 3 speed manual with the shifter in the column. Red with white side panels. My dad bought it used in 1987 and ran his landscaping side business from it (and this was back in the day when there weren't a...
I will be coming up to MD in mid-September and staying at Cunningham Falls State Park in Frederick. Your welcome to stop by if you want to make the drive up.
History...a few years back, I had a F150 with the 3.5 TT Ecoboost (Max Tow) and a 6500lb 26 ft. camper. Truck did well as a tow vehicle but my wife and I knew we wouldn't be camping much in the next few years (building a house, moving, etc) so we sold the camper and then the truck. Fast forward...
My number is 9487X and the website still does not say it shipped. You are the 2nd person I've seen that has a higher order number than mine that has received their adapter. Can Ford not count?
EDIT/addition:
The GOOD part of the Pro that I would not want to give up in a higher trim is the smaller screen and physical knob controls, as well as no glass roof.
Ideally, I'd love to be able to option a truck without being prisoner to specific "packages".
This is why I jumped on my 2023...
Yup. I put the Tesla Supercharger in Google Maps as my destination about an hour away. Got 170+ kWh instantly on a 25F day with 10F wind chill. There's no way it would have been so fast if it wasn't preconditioned. This confirmed to me that the Google Map integration with the Lightning does...
This is exactly the reason I used battery percentage on my Teslas rather than range. Tesla gives you the option of displaying either charge level or range. When you drive an ice vehicle, do fill up the tank based on your fuel gauge or what the "miles to empty" indicator says? How many Ice...
Received my replacement adapter last Friday. I put the request in within days of the email about the recall. Took about 5 weeks from filing to receiving the replacement.
