  1. Truck in the driveway for 5 days; charging suggestions with Level 1 Charger?

Sorry guys, it was a foolish way to start the post. We are going away but leaving the lightning behind in favor of the gas vehicle.
  2. Truck in the driveway for 5 days; charging suggestions with Level 1 Charger?

Truck will be in the driveway for five days. I am in NY so it will be cold but not brutally cold; forecast now says lowest temp will be about 25. I only have a Level 1 charger (I live in a Town that has free charging spots, so I usually charge there). I use the Level 1 Charger every once in a...
  3. POLL: trade your frunk for a generator?

The frunk is great. I use it all the time. Nice and sealed. I have a pro and don't "road trip" with it and when I tow it is my sons scout trailer and only like 50 miles away max; so my pro is perfect for my uses; I don't want to lose that trunk for the one or two times a year that I would need...
  4. Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Post Yours! 📸

Took mostly side roads to camp and got about 2.2. Took the highway home got about 1.9.
  5. New to EV. Trying to decide between SR and ER to keep 200k+ miles with 100 mile daily commute.

2023 SR owner here. I live on LI so we don’t have a brutal winter but it does get somewhat cold. If you are driving about 100 miles a day and are charging at home you will be fine imo. I have had my vehicle for about 20 months. I regretted not having the ER once when I did a longer roadtrip and...
  6. Trip from central MD to OBX & back

I did a LI,NY to OBX trip last April. I didn’t yet have the Tesla adapter. The trip down wasn’t as smooth bc chargers in Virginia were unreliable adding extra time. However once we got there I slow charged at the rental property and got some free l2 charging at the outlet mall and the public...
  7. Wheel / axle squeaking…any ideas

Getting this squeaking noise. Mechanic looked and can’t tell what it is but said safe to drive. Anyone have experience with something like this?
  8. Initial range after charge well below advertised range- 2025 Flash

Like others have said in this thread and the related threads, the "guess o meter" is not great. I have a pro and drive mostly around town on slower roads and rush hour traffic on the highway. I average 2.8 but every time I charge to 100% it tells me my range is 220-240 (when it should be around...
  9. Electric Vehicle Range Extender Generator

It would be great if at some point in the future if this was possible; I'd be a buyer for something that could fit in the frunk or bed that added 50-75 miles and charge while driving. One can dream...
  10. Tesla Chargers Not working for Lightning

I verified the location was compatible. Adapter was secure. I tried two stalls. I waited about two minutes at each stall after plugging in, the charge never took. I don't have PlugShare. I was just stopping by to try it out, I didn't need a charge, so when it didn't work I didn't spend more...
  11. Tesla Chargers Not working for Lightning

I did read the big blue card. As a matter of fact, I have the adapter in the original box with the big blue card in my truck at all times. It didn't work for me, but thanks for the comment, it was super helpful and informative.
  12. Tesla Chargers Not working for Lightning

I had a similar experience. I received the tesla adapter a while back but haven't had a chance to use it, so decided to try it out. The location was listed as compatible on the Ford app. I got there and plugged in, the lights on the Ford went blue like it was going to charge, but it never...
  13. Walmart EV Charging Network to Blanket US. First Charge Experience & Review

wal mart was notorious for getting tax breaks from local municipalities and then just up and moving when the breaks expired and would move to a new town a few miles away that would give it tax breaks.
  14. Walmart EV Charging Network to Blanket US. First Charge Experience & Review

I’ve shopped at a wal mart once in the past 20 years. It was at the Albany location bc I was charging on a road trip. We went in and spent money on food, drink and snacks so this seems like a smart move by wal mart
  15. Please help with my home charger install

Thanks everyone for your help. I think I may go with an outlet instead of hard wiring b/c I probably don't need the extra power...what type of outlet did you guys use and what wire? I was thinking of buying the thicker wire just in case we change our mind in the future...
  16. Please help with my home charger install

I will be using a licensed electrician but have read / seen on internet many licensed electricians unfamiliar with ev chargers, so hoping for some info here. I purchased the ChargePoint home flex. Ideally would like to charge as fast as possible hardwired with the charger in my garage, but...
  17. âś… Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (February 2025 batch)

90045xxx ; got the email that it shipped. Ordered night of 3/2 so ford says ordered 3/3
  18. Edmunds comparison review: Silverado RST vs F-150 Lightning Lariat

Yeah the fold up seats are great. I am a musician and have put my gear back there many a time.
  19. Edmunds comparison review: Silverado RST vs F-150 Lightning Lariat

The midgate on the Chevy is great and I am jealous of it; but the F150 frunk is better than the Chevy's. I think that is pretty equal. If you need to put a kayak, lumber, etc. on either you don't even need the midgate you can just buy a $70 extender. Can't make the frunks any larger.
  20. 94% Battery Health After 8,200 Miles
