Oddly enough, my wife was added and had alerts showing from around 5/2 and before (months before we bought the truck). We screenshotted them, and as of today they all have disappeared in her apps history.
Thanks all for your help. I’ll keep everyone posted in case someone comes up with a issue
Thanks - and exactly my point. The dealership working the issue here is actually quite friendly, and I am learning they have the capability to work on the vehicle. It is just really hard to understand how to handle this being so far from home.
Sure - I get it. But literally the dealership currently working on my truck indicated it is the HV junction box. If that part fails or is faulty, the truck can literally just turn off. It was described to me as the fuse box and brain for the HV. So, in replying to the other guys post, I am...
Yes - I got those after the fact. I had to physically call the dealership that initially sold the truck, and speak with the general manager for them to release the records.
Here are the records from the actual dealership (not the one that sold it) reports. Note that these details were not in...
I really don't think you are correct, and you are downplaying the issue severely. Why post with such assurance?
A quick search, from this website, indicates a separate recall with the HV junction box. Ford indicates this can result in increased risk of fire, as well as potential vehicle power...
Hi - I purchased the vehicle on 6/14, it broke down 6/27. I have the current vehicle warranty (Still in 3 year / 36K). Yes I viewed the carfax - it only indicated that the vehicle was serviced at regular intervals, and a few repairs (vague). Basically carfax, and the selling dealership...
Regarding the previous owner - probably! but I don't know him, and I only found out about these issues after the sale and the vehicle failure / issues. None of this showed up on the vehicle alert history w/o a Ford dealer pulling the data. Crooked.
the accessory power was initially working, but then it stopped and every weird warning started on the vehicle. Screen went black couldn’t lock or unlock doors, and the speakers were making loud popping or clicking noises.
to me - I’m really not reassured that they know what the fix is
they say it does… but my concern is it will stop somewhere even less convenient than it did last time. I am 500 miles from home, with my small children. I don’t want to breakdown on a random highway somewhere. At least here I was near my in laws.
what symptoms did you experience prior to being told this was the failure?
also I’m out of town at random ford dealership in a rural area. They said it would be safe to drive while waiting on the part (prior to fixing)….. that made me concerned with their ability and knowledge to repair.
last...
I’m not share what you mean by: then it is suspicious it would show up as a used vehicle.
also - what do you mean by saying there are reports here of this error or failure but people are much more likely to show up here… not really clear what you mean sir.
thanks
Hi All,
I purchased a used 22 Lightning ER a few weeks ago, with 34.5K miles. All was good, took a trip with the family (first time with EV) about 500 miles. As soon as we arrived, I ran out for an errand literally a mile down the road. When I left the store, the truck would not turn on -...
