  1. Tesla Network - Destination vs. Supercharger, what do I need?

So (I think) I know that for a Tesla Supercharger, I will need the NACS adapter that Ford says they will eventually (one day) ship to us for use with our Lightnings. However, from what I’ve read online, it’s not as clear to me what, if anything, I need to charge my Lightning at a Tesla...
  2. I’m leaving my FCSP in “dumb” mode.

Got my FCSP installed by my electrician on Friday, pushing 24 amps. Plugged it in when I got home, it was showing around 5.2kw charge rate on FordPass. Didn’t actually set up the charge station immediately (I.e. setting it up through FCSP app and bonding it to home WiFi, etc) as we had dinner...
  3. Rear Park Assist and Parking Brake after Forscan changes

Having a rather odd situation come up after doing some forscan changes: glare free headlights, DRL brightness increase and that new B&O equalizer system (that doesn't actually do anything lol). Every time I start the truck and then back up, I get a message that the Rear Park Assist is off...
  4. 1.4 kwh/mi on interstate…disappointed.

Lol this sounds exactly like me. This was not on a long trip obviously but it’s just disappointing that’s what I can expect. I drive about 4-500 miles a week, which is perfect for my test case; but we bought the truck with the mindset that we’d use my wife’s Yukon for longer trips, which is...
  5. 1.4 kwh/mi on interstate…disappointed.

Gotcha. Where are you at? Interesting you’d rather not risk doing a round trip to Jacksonville and back (depending on where you are of course). The interstate portion of this drive was from Exit 38 in Brunswick to the Midway exit (76 I think). Milton of course didn’t affect us much but it was a...
  6. 1.4 kwh/mi on interstate…disappointed.

Probably going faster than I should, yes. And “city driving” means different things to different folks I suppose. Hurricane Milton was nearby so there was definitely some wind.
  7. 1.4 kwh/mi on interstate…disappointed.

What’s a good PSI for daily driving? Mine are running about 32 PSI each (haven’t adjusted since taking delivery). They’re the stock Dynapro AT2. It never really gets that cold where I live. In the winter months the highs get in the 40’s and 50’s. Low’s MIGHT get below freezing once or twice a year.
  8. 1.4 kwh/mi on interstate…disappointed.

Still have KR, about to list it for sale. 2023 Lariat ER
  9. 1.4 kwh/mi on interstate…disappointed.

Yes, I understand all of that. Thanks, that was extremely helpful ???
  10. 1.4 kwh/mi on interstate…disappointed.

Had my lightning for just about 10 days and while I love it so far, I was pretty disappointed with this efficiency. Of those 49 miles, 36 or so were on the interstate, setting cruise to 79 mph. All flat on I-95 in Coastal Georgia. The first 13 or so miles were from my house to interstate, and up...
  11. Unused 50 Amp breaker going to old 3 prong dryer plug - swap with NEMA 14-50 outlet?

Getting my '23 Lightning today. Beyond excited, but a little inexperienced in electrical work... Being a 23 it comes with the Ford Charge Station Pro of course, but with the mobile power cord, I need to have something more efficient than a 120v plug with the mobile power cord until the FCSP...
  12. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

Reporting back here... As an update, I am getting the truck delivered today. Was such a damn hassle dealing with Koons. Everyone I talked to was a brick wall, but after enough micromanaging I ended up with a good deal - price wise better than anyone else that I started shopping around for. They...
  13. Toyo Open Country A/T III EV Tires Launched: Charge Up Your Adventure

Any hit to efficiency between the Lariat rims and stock tires vs this setup?
  14. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

Will the IRS fix any screw ups by dealers in all likelihood? Yes, probably. But will it be next year or 2-3 years down the road? What if the IRS moves the goalposts and says I have to report it in a particular year 2-3 years where I made too much money and wouldn't be able to claim it?
  15. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

https://www.irs.gov/pub/taxpros/fs-2024-26.pdf @chl scroll down to bottom of Page 20 of this FAQ straight from the horse's mouth. It doesn't cite the relevant IRC section, but it does indeed say seller has to report it: Q30. Is every new and previously owned clean vehicle sale required to be...
  16. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

Friday update: I asked the new car sales manager (4th or 5th person I've spoken to at this point) for an update and got this response (copied and pasted verbatim): I have a meeting today address this issue with Ford and the IRS. I am hoping the website gets resolved and we are actually able to...
  17. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

So as an update, Ford bailed out the dealer-and not in the way you'd expect. Ford extended the 0% 72 mos deal through the end of September. So, they don't have to make the sale date 9/3/24 which would've required them to get the reporting to IRS by tomorrow. Thus it's not as time-sensitive of a...
  18. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

So Form 15400 is not uploaded to report the sale? It sounds like they have done the ID.me. account portion of it, or so they say
  19. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

Agreed. I deal with government bureaucracies almost daily in my profession-I'm not leaving anything to chance. Will I be able to report the tax credit regardless of what the dealer does? In all likelihood, yes. But I'm not risking anything and I want it to be done right before the sale. There is...
  20. Tax credit form - did dealer screw this up?

So I showed the dealer all rhe IRS literature-including the FAQ section. The finance folks were clueless (young finance manager has been the problem all along). This got routed to new car sales manager who acknowledged the form that was sent was wrong. He also said they’d had trouble uploading...
