I have a 23 XLT Lightning and NEVER rely on the estimated range. But 90% of my use is city streets.
The guesstimated range is dependent on too many variables including, but not limited to temperature, terrain, and driver's foot (lead). Seriously, you may encounter a quirk or two, but the...
Update - It's been twenty days since Blue Mule returned and I've done 3 level 2 charges @ 40 amps with no issues. I'm happy with that. However, the intermittent warnings of my front parking/collision sensor (driver side inner) being blocked is still plaquing me. The software update did not...
Update: Blue Mule is home! This was the first battery repair work they did. It took 10 days and the dealer was very apologetic for the delays. The weekend days were lost as they only have one certified tech to work on BEVs and he wasn't able to work them. Two other days were lost due to...
Update 6/27/25: Received a courtesy phone call from Bolivar Ford as it has been a week. Major parts have arrived, but some "one-time" use parts are due by middle of next week. They will be replacing one or more of the battery cells after all. Seems both SR and ER have 9 modules, but SR has...
Update - I had a successful visit with the service department at Bolivar Ford where they diagnosed the issue with the control module for one of the battery modules (number 2). It will take 10 +/- days to get the part and then I'll schedule the next service date for its installation. I can...
I'm going to see if they can diagnose it and let me drive it while they wait for parts - if I have to arrange for a vehicle, I'll decide then. Since I'm retired, I don't need it full time.
Update - I had to reschedule as my local dealership has a 2+ week waiting list to diagnose the issue. I'll take it to a dealership about 50 miles away that can start looking at it on Thursday. Hopefully I won't have to leave it as no loaner cars are available.
It seems I will not be lucky that the cause of my Service Soon warning is the shifter alignment. I have the SR Battery.
I took a short trip from Memphis to St Louis on 6/14 that began with charging my XLT to 95% using my GrizzlE 40 Amp Level 2 charger.
I stopped at a Flying J to use the GM...
So, I started this thread 13 months ago. Still get this once in a while. I just let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes and restart the vehicle. Works and dealers have no other solutions. I have never done the fuse or LVB tricks.
