Need to add more options to the poll. IMO 240k is not even close to being able to 'afford' a 80k truck.
1/10 rule would require a >800k income to "afford" a Lariat ER :)
It was this brand. Not sure of the exact model, but that likely depends on your AC unit.

I don't, all i know is that now it takes less amps to start. Something like a 70% reduction. If we turn off the grid connection, the two powerwalls can now start both 3TON A/C without any issue. Before they would just buzz and do nothing :). Tesla installed the devices for no extra charge...
Not cheap, but neither is the HIS!
We paid 25k all-in after incentives for 2 x PW + 8 kW solar, 0.99% 10yr loan !
I am hoping that at some point tesla offers a V2G adapter plugin for powerwall/solar owners that can leverage the already installed equipment.
We are in SD also, and use 2 x power walls to do exactly this. Even with 2 PWs, with a max output of 7.6 kW each, it was not enough to turn our AC compressors over. We had to also install soft-starts in both units. I don't think the truck will have enough amps to get things started.
With...
Plus you got the $7500 federal rebate and the $7500 state rebate.
$15,000 in your pocket plus whatever markup you got on the sale. I’m sure the slightly higher electric price is to blame ;)
I'd be careful pushing high sustained amps through such a small wfi outlet - even if only 110V.
The solution I have for now works. I force any needed excess charging to AFTER the window that I set. Off-peak is 12am - 6am, so I set the charging window in the truck to 12am - 2pm. Normally it...
After some initial spirited driving, my SR XLT now shows just user 200 miles of range at 100%. I think it’s time for a reset.
Can only find instructions for resetting on a ER model with the larger screen. The 12” SYNC does not seem to have a “reset driving history” button.
Any manage to do...
It is a tesla tap mini 60A. It looks the same to me? Was unaware there was a redesign? Perhaps if they are close enough that is what I now have? Can look for markings.
Update on this. Talked with dave, and had my TeslaTap mini 60A swapped out for a new unit.
The new one fits much much better. After a few uses it connects just as smoothly as the ford mobile connector does. Slides all the way in and gives a nice click every time. Perhaps the pins were just...
I had the same issue with my gen3 tesla wall connector + tesla tap mini and SR F150L. It would not seat all the way. I had to forcibly press it in towards the truck to make the connection and initiate charging.
I submitted a returb/RMA and had the TT swapped out. New one fits much better...
I blame the ford PO team. The software team is just following tickets. Its is embarrassingly obvious that the vast majority of them are new to EV and blind to the UI/UX improvements that the Tesla team has implemented.
Farley has said many times that he wants Ford to be more like Tesla Yet...
What year is this ? 1969? Vehicles and software are no longer separate things. It’s a complete package. You need both to be successful.
This iteration of the F150L is nothing more than a stepping stone to a more modern architecture / design. They did so to help ease the aging population (read...
That’s not my experience. They work very well.
Which is why the UX team moved the button elsewhere. Its no longer needed. Maybe you have a faulty sensor?
Do you still manually adjust the headlights / high beams? Or let auto do its thing ?
No need to hold onto the old way of doing things. If...
I think this is sadly true. Ford software is 10+ years behind Tesla. I doubt that gap will ever be closed. I suspect a manufacturer agnostic / standard solution may take over or be mandated.
The only savings Grace we have is Apple car play - which is very well done.
