I was wondering, every time I park my Lightning, I plugin my main charger, when in my shop that's a 120V, in my garage it's a 240v. So, I have not read anything if that keeps the 12v charged. So, my question is, should I hookup the 12V battery, to a battery tender when I know it's going to be down for several weeks? Are that unnecessary.

When I use my 120 volt level 1 charger that also charges my 12 volt battery. My experience is this was true for 2023 as well as 2024 model years.

Not sure if that is the case on the 240 volt level 2 charger.

During an active charge session, the 12v battery is charged. So, by default, during a 120v session it is charged longer.

The 12v SHOULD be kept up by the high voltage battery regardless. SHOULD.

I have a battery tender connection on both vehicles. If I know I'm not driving for weeks, I connect it. Otherwise, I don't bother.

My 12v on the Lightning was just declared bad at 35 months, but it sat at a dealer for the first year of its life.
