2024 Flash APIM AB data restore problem

I restored my backup of the APIM AB data using the "Save All", "Load All" and "Write All" functions. I restored to the version it was prior to making any modifications.

Now the parking sensor chime is distorted and seems to come from the wrong speaker. The rear sensor chime used to come from a speaker in the back of the cab.

Is there anything I can do? Should I select "Load Factory AB"?

Load Factory AB will pull the data Ford has for your truck and flash that. If the changes you made got synced up to the server, then it may put some of the FORScan changes you made back on the APIM. You can use FORScan to enable and disable chimes, but you can't force them to come out of specific locations; not AFAIK.

Sometimes if your 12v battery is low on charge, chimes will come out of different locations. Not sure what else could be causing it.

Do you have any iterative backups? Maybe load a more recent backup and work backwards until you get to a point where everything is working?

I have yet to do a Load All/ Write All. Especially with factory As-Built. Instead I just note the before and after of every update I make and restore a line at a time if needed. Not only do your FS mods change parameters but OTA's can change them too.

There is a nice Windows program called As-Built Explorer that allows you to load up to 4 As-Builts (full or partial) and it will compare them all and show differences. It reads FORScan .abt files as well as Motorcraft .ab files

Thank you for the replies.

The mod I did was Remove "Full view not available" message on reverse camera screen while in motion.

After loading the backup AB, and getting the sound problem, I plugged in the mod again, and the sound problem went away. Then I manually changed the mod back to default and the sound was still fine.

Now I put the mod back in, and it is still normal.

Very strange.
