The Lightning did great with a short trip to a state campground 55 miles away from home. As usual, towing was effortless and we averaged between 1.0-1.1 mi/kwh with the trailer attached. The ability to fill the truck's tank for free at the campsite was an added bonus.

Great efficiency - can I assume sub 60mph speeds?

We went this weekend as well and averaged .8-.9 on the way there and .7-.8 on the way back fighting a 10-15 MPH headwind. Cruise controlled at 65mph both ways.

90 miles 1 way. On the way there truck said I had 30 miles left, on the way back it said I had 15. Charged fine using the 50 amp at the campground. Had charger set to 32amps. Tried 40amps but it threw the breaker. Set back to 32 and worked fine.

No, didn't try but I should have. Our pedestal had a 30 amp plug (our camper is only 30 amp) and a 50 amp plug. Kept the charger on the 50 amp plug set to 32 amp pull; they both ran fine off the 1 pedestal.

Did you use the Ford Mobile Charger or another brand?

I brought this one along:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NPF2CL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So I could adjust (unlike the ford one) -- altho I believe the Ford one would have worked just fine in this case. Also I saw a post out there today about the charger(s) not working in rain - we had a serious down pour and the unit charged through it no problem. I also wouldn't expect the ford one to have any issue either.

Nice report, did the pedestal ever get hot? I went to a State Park this yesterday and plugged in and that 50amp box got real real real hot.
I didn't check.

Thanks for the write up. Out of curiosity, what are the specs on your trailer, size, weight and how fast where you driving?
