We took our first road trip in my Lightning earlier this month and used Apple Maps the entire time (700+ miles round trip). I was very pleased with how accurate it was. I feel like it consistently estimated slightly less remaining range at each charging stop than what we ended up seeing, likely to account for any factors that could occur such as headwinds, etc. Definitely planning on using it again on the next trip!
