I'm a little confused here, did you mean to say 6x9 for the front?
I said 6x9, and yes I did mean 6x9. It's not plug an play though, you will need to find brackets and then possibly make some modifications.

I just bought 6x9s with a component system for my front. I also bought a compact amp to power the speakers.

Here are the brackets I bought to allow the 6x9's to fit:

Thanks, I was mostly confused because I thought the person you were replying to was referring to using 6.5"s in the front and back.

Which compact amps did you go for? I'm thinking I may just start with speaker replacements and see if I am happy with that.

Did you use the similar baffle kit for the 6x9 as your rears? Looks like this would be the same brand. https://www.amazon.com/Design-Engineering-050380-Speaker-Baffles/dp/B0039Z3T4C/

Yes I bought the same baffle.

I got this 4 channel amp for the speakers. The Amazon description says it's 40wx4 but it is actually 60wx4.

Last question if you replaced your fronts, did you go for a component system and replace the tweeters near the windshield or just get a 2/3 way for the 6x9 in the front?

I got components, yet to install, but I am replacing both the door and the tweeters. I will have to run new wire to circumvent the built in crossover it seems Ford uses. Waiting on my last piece for my SecuriCode upgrade as I don't want to take the doors apart twice.
