Bulging Battery/Low Cranking Amps.

Took my 2024 Lightning XLT in for the Software Updates on Parking Brake and Audio Recalls. I asked them to check my LVB as well. The battery was replaced due to low cranking amps and bulging.

What year Lightning /how old was the battery?

Keep your new battery healthy longer with a battery maintainer with an AGM mode - it will help avoid the apparent/likely high charging current your old battery experienced in the Lightning.

High charging current will happen in the Lightning when the battery gets too far discharged which has also been observed.

2024, original battery. I have the supplies to wire the Tender with. I will attach it as shown in a previous Thread downstream from the BMS.
