I am one of the few who prefer a drop-in bed liner. I have used them for 20+ years on my previous 2000 SVT Lightning and my current 2022 Lightning.

From my post #8 in another thread:
"I had a 2000 SVT Lightning with the OEM drop-in liner. I had the truck painted in 2017. There was a little scuffing on top of the bed floor ridges (seen on the 2 ridges on the left in the photo), but no wear through to bare metal. We decided not to repaint the bed, and reinstalled the drop-in bed liner."

I can't speak for your market, but I can for ours. Bagged mulch is often of poor quality. Dyed mulch in bags fades fast, and often contains junk. Bags have also decreased in size in recent years, now down to 1.5 cu ft per bag, was 2 ft. And, even on sale, it's expensive. Home Depot currently has it for $2 per bag, which works out to $1.33 per cu ft. So, a cubic yard is $1.33 x 27 = $35.91. I can buy a load of dyed mulch locally for under that price. It contains only trees, no pallets. It also has a longer lasting dye. And, if I buy 30 yards, that would be 540 bags of mulch, and 540 plastic bags... Not great for the environment either.
I get grade A cedar but if I was getting 30 yards then bulk is the only way. I buy from a local landscape supply house and it's top quality and pricey but the stuff lasts longer than cheap stuff.
