Thanks for this discussion. Getting 1 yard of mulch at a time is a pain! I cover all of the outlets etc. with duct tape. Seems like they could have a better cover for all that stuff.

I've looked at the scale screen many times... I find it odd that they have the +150 (or whatever we adjust it to). I can't get to the screen from my phone so how can I check the load but not be in it? I get that you could set it to account for additional people but I can do that in my head.

A numeric readout would be way better than the bar but then someone might sue Ford because they treated the number as absolute instead of a reference value that's not calibrated/traceable. I know even the bar has that disclaimer but it would have been more likely to happen with a number. I would still like the number

I suspect the scales on the app are coming back eventually. They were in the old FordPass app, like ProPower and Zone Lightning control. We finally got ProPower back, hopefully Zone Lightning and Scales are still somewhere on the roadmap of the slowest developed app on earth. I say that with love, as I am also on a Ford software team, but man is this stuff slow going.

I wedge a piece of pipe insulation between the bed and tailgate to keep junk from getting inside the tailgate when unloading or sweeping it out.
Smart Idea, gotta remember that one...

Yes, the 150 is accounting for a driver.

I wasn’t thinking about it and got a pallet of concrete from Lowe’s. It didn’t bottom out or anything crazy but was sluggish.
I drove slowly and the truck was fine but it was probably double the load limit. These trucks are tough.

My truck doesn’t have scales but Im sure I was over with this load. Ignorance is bliss lol. Truck handled it fine, good thing it was only a couple miles. 70 bags.

Ford knows it's customers. The truck is going to get the job done. Ford Tough!

I recently hauled a little over a 1/2 yard of 3/4” river rock. Around 1400lbs. The truck felt a little squirrelly when taking off from a stop or when taking a turn. This is my first time hauling something this heavy in the bed of a truck with IRS. It was interesting but as others have stated, the power was no issue. Still picking rocks out of my tailgate ?. Those little holes in the tailgate, when it’s down, are perfect for pebbles to get into.
