I am hoping someone can provide some insight to my issue. 2024 flash. 8k miles on it. I did have the recall completed (was correct to begin with they said). Since day 1 I get some steering feedback / bump steer. More noticeable at low speeds. For instance if I go over train tracks from being at a stop. The wheel will go from 12 o’clock to like 10 and then sometimes over to 1 or 2 o clock all in a single motion. It does return to center and goes straight down the smooth roads
In the beginning the ride was also kind of floaty. So while off work for a week I changed out to bilstein 5100 shocks and a Hellwig front sway bar and then got an alignment. I put the new shocks at the middle ring for leveling.
The ride and handling is certainly more what I am used to. The bump steer however remains. This is my first ford previously I have only driven Ram 1500s. So I am not sure if this is “normal” for the f150 and it is just ultra sensitive. Or if something is awry.
Lane centering is off
I did get the alignment at a reputable shop in the area as my dealer and I do not get along. I have an appointment with a different dealer in 2 weeks but hoping to get some insight / advice on things to check.
