After I saw this video, I joined the club and ordered the 48 amp version. I got what is call the "charger" ( we all know it's a smart Plug) anyways Here in Ontario with Ultra low time of use rate @ $0.028/kW-h I charged 85.36 kw-h cost me $2.40. This is a cut and past from my Grizl-E account 09/26/2025 06:35:10 AM Transaction #1xxxxxx – 85.36 kW⋅h Auto-payment for charging $2.56 Bottom line is they paid me $0.16 to charge my truck!

Update: As of Nov. 1 New ULO rate bumped up to 3.9 cents/kWh. Grizzll-e still a great deal.
I installed the unit 09/25/2025 My Club Balance is $57.81 still ahead.

I just got the new Grizzl-E charger delivered today, going to set it up over the weekend and try it out. I also have the ULO rate in my area of Ontario. The 3-cents payback certainly makes the charging almost free after 'delivery' and the meter charge. Amazing compared with paying $140/week in my last truck (Ram 2500 gas pig) and there is no comparison to the ride and comfort of the Lightning, like floating on a cloud.

Update: Installed the new Grizzl-E club compatible charger today and connected to wifi . All worked great and the instructions were very clear. Now I have another APP to geek out over all the data, and stats it tracks.

SwTCH is new provider of free charger and they also pay 3c per kw.
Bonus is they don't charge $120 membership fees.
did you sign up to SwTCH ?
Grizzl-E waive the 120 fee for the first year, so anyone that is using them could cancel and go with SwTCH at the end of thier first year,... or the competition will force Grizzl-E to drop the membership fee...intersting to see anther pay to charge platform.

I am going to try the Pion GreenMiles program. Similar deal, aggregating and selling your EV charging as carbon offset credits. They are offering 10c/kWh, which is probably not sustainable (loss leader / bait-and-switch incoming lol). I bet they will reduce it within a year. BUT with the Lightning's massive consumption 😅 it really won't take long to pay off the up front cost for the charger.

Not super happy about helping somebody offset their pollution. But I guess they'd buy carbon credits from somewhere, so might as well be me 🤷‍♂️

Waw. 10c/kwh is huge. But Ya as you mentioned probably not sustainable.
Too bad they offer only up to 40kw chargers. That's too little for me. I drive 200-250 km per day and have ultra low rates in Ontario. So I can charge only 8 hours for very cheap electricity. And I barely make it with 48kwh charger.

Look like we will see more and more businesses just on this. More competition better deals for us.
Like my lightning more and more 😁

Update on these.

They just email me they shipped the charger. So it's faster then they said.

report back how the set up and everything goes!

I figure the ULO rate plus delivery regulatory charges etc at about 7.9 c per kWh approx. at least for the winter months, then 'almost free' Solar in the spring-summer-fall (ok "free" after the cost of the solar set up LOL)
At 10-cents/kWh it would pay to let people use my charger for free...?

yeah, best to take the total cost of the bill, and divide by the total kWh and get the net total rate that way...
