Has anyone living in California been effected by the truckers strike in the past week? I went to my dealership To take a look at Lightning they had on their lot, and I mentioned that my truck will be arriving at the rail yard in three days. I was curious to know when they might have the car on their lot.

The dealer (one of the managers) said it will probably be another 2 months sitting at the rail yard because of the truckers strike. Maybe they are trying to manage my expectations, but I thought it was odd.

I guess we'll see shortly.

My dealer seemed to mention a new issue, but make it seem like he was talking about bnsf and thought my truck wouldn't have shipped from Dearborn at all.

I read some articles about the strike and the only Impact I saw was unloading ships and delivering their content from port of Oakland. Not sure if this applies to any rail. Would apply to cars coming from overseas. Port of Sacramento and port of Stockton had no issues from one article that referenced them.

I did ask my dealer last week if my truck got off the rail by (this)Tuesday that he would expect it to arrive in July and this was after the strike started. It was off the rail yesterday.

Unitedroad which I assume does most hauling around here notes they have (the largest( private and third party drivers... Maybe third party (independent contractors?) are striking as the strike is for independent drivers.

Given there is constant cars coming out of the bay area to NorCal, I assume hey have real employees who wouldn't be striking (being classified an employee)
