When I finally get a truck I will want to install a rubber bed mat in it. Not sure which brand. My main concern is whether or not it will scratch the paint in the bed of the truck? I know, I know, who cares, the mat will cover that. But I guess I'm just a little OCD about it. I know some of them (maybe all of them?) have little "feet" that are supposed to help airflow in case water gets to allow them to stay dry. Do those little feet leave little feetprints?

Rubber won't scratch the paint but the grit, dust and dirt that collects between the mat and the bed will.
I do plan on adding a bed cover, so that should mostly prevent that, I would think.

When I pulled the rubber bed mat from my 2018 after three years I was pleased after a quick spray the paint looked great, no scratches, no dull areas from rubbing. The new truck came with the factory liner which I hate since everything slides all over so I tossed the rubber mat on top and all is good.

Spray the bed with whatever liner you like throw the mat to keep the dent to the minimum
