EV routing in Apple Map for Lighting?

sorry if someone asked this question before. I just spent some time playing around Apple CarPlay and Map. No EV routing on Lightning XLT? my MachE has that.

It's coming in iOS 16. If you install the beta you can try the feature now.

I have ios16 beta and it only works on the mach e. No luck with the lightning

That's weird. Does iOS not recognize the F150L is an EV? I have the beta but don't have my lightning so I can't even play with the new system.

It sounds like iOS 16 doesn't yet recognize the Lightning as an EV.

Did you install the update just a day or two ago? My current beta version is 20A362 (Settings > General > About).

I assume the version that was recently pushed was an RC given it's slated to be released on the 12th but I didn't follow the beta development closely. I only installed it a week or so ago because I wanted to try this new feature before realizing maps doesn't offer the function unless one is using CarPlay in an EV...or I don't know if that last part is true. I don't have a vehicle with CarPlay anymore to test any of its current features.

Apple was specific for mache at some with ios15 dot updates - yes odd that they haven’t added Lightning.

‘’think how annoying this is going to be when android is the default sync Os on future releases. Ev routing will certainly be built in for those.

Nope, tried yesterday when I moved to iOS 16

I've reported this to Apple. Hope they will be adding this soon. I really do not want to use Sync4's built in Maps.

Yeah, the version I posted earlier for RC (release candidate) is the current version released to public so no changes, yet.

Ford is working diligently to push new features and software out to customers. We have no estimation at this time for when these customers will get the EV routing feature in Apple Maps.​
