Ford Intelligent Backup Power availability in Canada

Just got in touch with Qmerit and was told that Ford Intelligent Backup Power has not yet been approved for Canada. Anybody have insights on the delays and all to have this available to us on the Canadian market?

I was thinking of importing one from the US (the units are about $4000usd)
however, after consulting with my electricians, the installation could be very pricy based on the manuals, could be around 6-8k (it is quite complex)

At the end of the day, using pro power on-board with manual transfer switch is cheaper and easier. (about 1500-2000cad to install)
