Icon / Avatar update on the 15 inch screen

Looking through these forums I've seen some screen shots where the avatar / icon in the top right of the screen is set to a custom picture. When I looked on my screen settings there were options for specific images but I couldn't see a way to upload a custom image. Anyone able to tell me how this is done?

Not only don’t I mind but it’s appropriate that you ask right now as I just did a master reset to solve a backup passcode issue and I can’t remember how I got that picture up there!

I think the steps might be in this post. I didn’t have a number tied to my account in the ford app. It’s added now so will see if it updates when I next use the truck tomorrow.

If you're on Android, this used to be a real obscure setting to display your profile picture. With modern versions of the OS, I think this is more front and center in the phone settings but ymmv.

I’m on iOS. I added my number to the app, made sure there was only one contact for me in my phone and redownloaded contacts. Picture did not appear.

Sorry, can't help you there. There is some part of the OS that passes that information on to the truck through the phone list. I know I figured it out on mine several years ago and on the few occasions my wife drives our truck (or connects her phone) the picture doesn't appear for her account because I never made that change on her device. We're both using Android devices, however.

Reviving this thread. Still can’t get my profile picture back on the screen. On iOS. Phone numbers match, names etc. nothing seems to work. I had it before as you can see from an earlier post but after a needed master reset I can’t get it back.
