Lariat is flashing and honking - don’t know why?

Hey folks, anyone else having this issue? It’s happening when I’m away from the truck. I thought it might be weight on the passenger seat, but no. I can stop it by hitting the key fob, but after a few minutes it starts back up. I notice when I return to the truck from the store, the lights are flashing. I assume the horn stops honking after a bit. Its’ happening when truck is locked.

If anyone knows what’s causing this and has a fix, greatly appreciated!

Nothing…. But I dug through some of the menus, and I deactivated the motion alarm. That seems to have fixed it. But funny thing - I never activated it in the first place? Or I’ve never touched it? I’ll have to dig deeper, see if there’s a sensitivity setting.

Or… possibly a valet attendant went in and activated it?

I think the default is "on".

If you update your profile information to include the year of your Lariat, more forum members may be able to offer some specific suggestions since different years have different settings sometimes.

The only thing similar I have noticed is if I leave the truck with my phone (I think)inside and lock the door (using the keypad because that is the only way to lock it when it is still on ) it will honk a couple times even though I carry the fob in my pocket. I hope that makes sense and I believe I have that correct as far as the truck being on or off and my phone still being inside or not.

my truck will honk twice and flash if i get out of the vehicle while it is in park and running. it will also display a message that the key fob is not detected on the driver information screen.
