F150 Lightning 2023 XLT- 311A
Hello Friends,
Recently bought a Used factory certified Ford F150 Lightning 2023 XLT truck. Was disappointed to find that it is 311A trim which doesn't have Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering.

I know this can be added , Reached out to FORD Dealership here in Louisville. KY and seems like they don't right technician to do it. :-(.

I know folks have done it as DIY project .Would really appreciate if someone can point me to right person willing to add it to my vehicle. I live in Louisville, KY and willing to travel.

Any pointers are well appreciated.

Thank you

Do you not have a young teenager, nephew, niece, son, daughter in your family or extended family, who could use the very practical experience from doing this and a couple hundred bucks. I can advise. It's a fairly easy job for A person that's interested In the experience. For a professional, I'd say it might not be economical. But if you want to just throw money at it, go find any third party ASME mechanic that knows Fords.

Also, these are two different unrelated mods. I'd say tackle them independently.

Hey, Thank you for your reply on this one.

Sorry i don't have young folks in my circle who can help with this. I'm pretty new to all of this and hesitant to take a stab at it. Im trying to find a third party Ford mechanic who can help. No luck so far.

Look on FBMKT for mechanics in your area that specialize in electrical repairs. The first questions to ask are:
Are you familiar with modern Ford vehicles.
Are you familiar with FDRS?
Are you familiar with FORScan?

If the answer to any one of those is yes, that's a good start, then direct them to this forum to research what it takes (both are explained here extensively), and give you an estimate of cost.

If I was quoting this I'd expect a competent mechanic to spend 2hrs researching the tutorials on this forum, researching the parts needed for your specific vehicle, and ordering the parts, for each DIY respectively.

Then for HRS of work to complete:
Passive Entry: 3hrs
ACC: 2hrs

Opps, sorry I somehow thought you wanted passive entry too. I see now it's just ACC and LKA wLane Centering. Those go together so they are one and the same. If you find a good mechanic who is savvy with ordering/navigating the ford parts system and PTS/Oasis, they should be able to do this mod in half a day, easy.

Specifically you need someone willing to download and play with FORScan before they attempt this project. Have them prove their salt by enabling glare free headlights or some other easy configuration mod. Then make them produce a full parts list including the non OEM wiring and understand how they are going to run the wiring before you order parts.

I'd think you could straight up ask your service adviser, "Who here is the best mechanic with FDRS and electrical systems on modern Ford vehicles" That's the guy you want, hire him on a weekend to do this for you, independent of the dealership.
