Map Out Your EPA-Estimated Range For One-Way or Round Trip

Just noticed that Ford has a cool online tool to guesstimate your range from where you are now according to your EV model and the season of the year. You can choose a one-way or round-trip option.

Presumably, the mapping considers topography and temperature, presumably picking routing information that the Ford NAV system would employ. Employing the map to guesstimate the range from San Antonio, there are "blank" areas within otherwise accessible areas in West Texas. Presumably, these are areas in which there are no roads or impossible topography.

The guesstimator would be better if one could actually pick a temperature for HOT, COLD, or MILD and also set the amount of climate control and speed. A planner like ABRP is probably a lot more accurate, but you don't get the global view of all the places that might be generally in range under a given set of conditions. It would be great if Ford offered such a tool with further tuning possible.

Yeah - really not that accurate at all (overly optimistic) I am doing a trip to Syracuse from near Albany NY this week and I will need a quick charge to do the round trip from both experience and ABRP. Ford's tool says I would make it with plenty of range to spare regardless of temp.
