motor longevity

I know some of us are easy on the truck, while others are a bit hard, so what does everyone think about the motor longevity on the Lightning? Do we think the motors will outlive the battery pack?

The limited research I've done points to batteries being the weakest link. I'm pretty sure you'll see battery issues before you see motor issues(minus a manufacturing defect or severe abuse).

Here is a video showing a teardown, my layperson's impression is that the motors are overbuilt for the application which has negative weight and cost implications and positive performance and longevity. YMMV/time will tell/I am not an engineer

My overall impression is that the Lightning’s power train (battery, motors, and supporting electronics) will likely last longer than the working life of the truck. Battery cycle testing and Tesla’s experience to date suggest that the battery will last for 250,000-500,000 miles before it degrades below 75% capacity. As grenne and gewalt suggest, the motors will probably last even longer than that.
