After waiting 2 weeks to be able to talk to my salesman, take the 45 min ride there and dealer tells me that I need to talk to Ford for the conversion. Even showed them my email. Call Ford they say no need to talk to dealer. Have them call their rep to help them if they need it. Only thing I got is that they are looking to charge me an addition 2k for AMD because its now a 23 order. Aggravating and waste of my time. Ford starting to loose me as a Loyal customer....
Anyway.. in the 22 builder I believe the 110 wall charger was included with all the vehicles and trims Standard and extended range batteries. For 23 there is a $500 charge if you get the extended battery and still want the 110 charge. 1st EV so thinking that's always good in a pinch when traveling. So for the My22 to My23 order should that still be included for free or covered under the price protection????? I cant see the 22 builder anymore to screen shot it.

Ford CS has said they haven't heard if the cable being included for these people, and not to assume they would include it.

I took mine off my order.

The Ford mobile charger isn't worth $300 let alone $500. I got 2 chargers for what I saved by taking it off.

This was Fords 22 builder. All the Lightnings came with a mobile charger. Only makes sense seeing that some of the Pro Charges didn't get out in time for installation. How would you charge the truck? Again I never owned a EV so tell me what I'm missing.

Correct, for MY23 Ford has made the Mobile Charger an optional $500 add-on.

I elected to remove it, save $500, and purchase 3rd party EV chargers (with more functionality and higher power output) for less.

There are many good brands out there. Check with your power provider as they sometimes have rebates for certain brands.

For a permanent home charger look for a 48amp charger with adjustable power output. Most of these allow you to connect (or come with one connected) a NEMA 14-50 cable and adjust the power output down to 40amp should you already have a 40amp outlet available.

The standard range Lightning can only accept up to 48amp for charging purposes. The extended range can accept up to 80amp, but 80amp is usually overkill unless you are using the entirety of your trucks battery every day.

Here are 2 examples (not necessarily recommending these, but this should help get your search started):

This is also a great value if you have no intentions of hardwiring to a 60amp breaker and instead plan on just plugging into NEMA 14-50:

I also plan on getting a 3rd party mobile charger (<$250), to keep in the truck for on the road charging if needed.
