OTA - Getting the latest software update -- a FIX for stuck downloading process

I've posted this before, but I really think everyone should put on their calendars to disconnect the negative battery every quarter. Just give the truck a good cold boot like back in the Windows 95-98 days.

So I had the spinning circle for updates the last few weeks. Then the battery power saver mode and no app feature was working. I went online and found the BMS negative terminal that the CSP is out for and replaced it the other day and yesterday I got my 10.1.1 update. Had a hard time finding one as almost all Ford parts are back ordered for them. $29.00 and seems to have taken care of it.

To add another data point here - Same problem with a failed 10.1.0 update.

Would not go past the "looking for updates" screen.

Pulling 12v battery didnt solve it for me, but i connected the car to my home wifi and that did the trick.

I just purchased a 25 Lightning Flash today. And I really want to thank you guys for this specific thread. When I took delivery of the truck My Ford Pass app would not communicate. And the OTA updates were just spinning. I disconnected my 12v battery for 20 min like it was suggested and everything works perfectly now, I was able to set up Ford Pass And the OTA updates.

Thanks for this thread. My page wouldnt load at all and a long 12v battery disconnect fixed it
