Interesting, I thought the exterior frunk button was a bit wonky because it worked occasionally. Then I thought that if it worked all the time the fob was near, it would not be secure. Unlocking everything enables it, just as it should be. '25 Flash

There's a water drain path that runs behind the grill, which is how the water gets into the lights in the Frunk. That same path runs close to the back of the Frunk button, and if not sealed properly, and the water doesn't drain completely, can cause corrosion on the button and stop it from working. When I had my Frunk internal lights replaced, the next day the button stopped working. When I brought it back in, the service tech showed me the corrosion on the back of the switch. Switch should either be sealed, or the drain path should be rerouted, but it is what it is.
