At a dealer meeting we were shown the new 2021 as well as a frame off exhibit where we saw how the powerboost is done. A single electric motor is between the engine and torque converter and it is only 4 inches long. The battery pack is cooled and heated externally and mounted under the cab bolted to the frame. Due to the battery size the extended range 36gallon fuel tank cant be installed so all power boost have a 30.6gal tank. Ford claims more than 700 miles per tank so we can do some quick math on the mpg numbers with that info
